Sworn declaration?
I'm shortly scheduled to fly from Germany to France (as a US citizen). I see references to needing a "sworn declaration" that I don't have COVID symptoms or been in contact with a known case.
Is this a form that one needs to print out beforehand, or is it provided somewhere at the airport? |
I printed one -I was actually asked at check in I but just said yes), no one looked at it and there were no such forms anywhere I saw (route sfo-muc-nce). I traveled a little over a week ago.
|
Within the espace Schengen, there were no unusual forms required by France (at least from my flight in Nov). Only a check of the pass sanitaire was done at the check in.
|
There is an official requirement of filling out a form (attestation sur l'honneur) declaring that you don't have any Covid symptoms. This is available from the website of the Ministry of the Interior - you can either print it and complete it or just handwrite it on any piece of paper. In practice, nobody has ever asked me for this form in almost 2 years of Covid travels from/to France.
|
A lil over a week ago, we were given the paper form while on the flight from MUC-CDG. No one ever collected it.
|
Don't bother. No one will ever request it. If they give it to you at the airport, don't bother to fill it
|
I can report that on our LH MUC-LYS flight 12/5, not only did no one ask for a sworn declaration, no one even asked for our vaccine documentation!

For me it was handed out on my YUL-CDG flight and collected on the same flight before landing. I have no idea what the airline did with those papers.
Vaccination was *not* checked for the flight, the border guard asked if I was vaccinated but refused to look at any paper saying she trusted me :) |

That's likely b/c it was checked on your originating flight!
The LH digital document check wouldn't recognize my flight, probably because it was booked on United (016) stock. But LH issued boarding passes without checking any vaccine documents, and there was no further check at the gate. Some flights (e.g., to Lisbon) seemed to be calling for gate document checks, but not ours. |

I don't think so - this was not a flight on the same ticket, and we had already been in Germany for close to a week.

OT - I think LH has a big problem b/c their system also did not recognize my ticket in order to file a delayed baggage claim (big issue but not for this thread) also 016 issued! |
Hi- relating to this, I think I understand but wanted to ask as I am helping my mother and sister with this.
They are due to fly Los Angeles-CDG-Florence They will need a PCR to enter Italy, fine as that would cover any possible FR requirement. The question I have is about paperwork...I know Italy requires the dPLF which includes the transit info via Paris. Because France uses the same PLF am I correct that they will only need to fill out ONE dPLF for Italy for the entirety of their journey as they are only transiting in CDG? This of course in addition to the French attestation... |

I think they just got rid of the sworn declaration. I may be mistaken.

On the Air France TravelDoc page, the testing requirement for fully vaccinated passengers has been removed but the "Statement of Honor" remains.
