Compulsory Outdoor Mask Policy
Hi all,
Travelling to Nice next week and would like some advice please. Nice has just introduced mask wearing in "many major areas of the city". I note also that a few other French cities have done likewise.
Leaving aside that that's open to interpretation, I have some questions that I'd appreciate some help with.
1) I assume the areas this applies within will be marked as such with signs. How will I know once I've left the area where I need to wear one?
2) Is there a map available showing the mandatory area?
3) Am I right in that this applies only to those aged 11 years plus, unless otherwise stated? We are travelling with our 2 year old and I've assumed she won't need one under any circumstances.
4) What's the penalty for non-compliance? I assume a fine of €50 or something. I don't intend on not complying, just trying to understand what an inadvertent contravention might result in. I will have one with me at all times as I'd need it whenever indoors anyway.

2) See above, or this link for a more user-friendly map

3) Your 2 y.o. won't need it in Nice, it's only for ages 11+
4) €35 for now in Nice, pending confirmation from the préfet that it can legally go up to €135
