Had lunch on the sidewalk at the Select yesterday. Also, first time in a restaurant for 3 months. It was a remarkable event for us.

as an FYI, face mask are now mandatory in all public spaces in France including shops, banks, places of worship, etc.

For those going on holiday to Brittany, clusters have been reported in Quiberon and Penmarch. In Quiberon, beaches and public parks have been closed between 9pm and 7am

Also, worth noting that from next Monday onwards, the beach at Les Sables d'Olonne (in Vendée) will be closed during afternoons as an experiment to prevent people from settling there and thus crowd the beach

Another version of the map, updated regularly, can be found here:
https://www.francetvinfo.fr/sante/ma...s_4065159.html
The artgicle is in French, though for the map here's a translation of the caption:
Green: Mask compulsory in markets, including flea markets and car boot sales
Orange: Mask compulsory in partial areas of the city
Blue: Mask compulsory in all parts of the city (Hover on the city to get more info on times, etc

Within the same city, they already changed the rules / streets.

why they can’t just say wear a mask inside and outside ?? Could be easier to understand that way.

enjoy your restaurants, I’m not optimistic for September

outdoor masks was extended today to most tourist areas of paris.
also the « préfet » (chief of police) said that it may be extended to the entire city if Covid is not slowing down.

Judging from the map issued by the Préfecture, all alive places in Paris are now mandatory mask zones. If I were a tourist I'd just wear a mask at all times -- there's no way anyone visiting is going to set foot in one of the non-mask areas.

On a personal note, hopefully temperatures start going down soon. Wearing a mask during the heatwave was almost unbearable.
