Paris Sightseeing - Tickets/Passes
Planning to visit Paris for 5 days with family of 5. I am planning to go to all the standard tourist places and was looking to get the sightseeing tickets in advance and also save money.
I was looking at the various passes and it seems Paris Museum pass seems to be the best option. 2 days pass is 39Euros per person and also gives entry without queining. What do you guys think about this, any other suggestions and ideas are also welcome. |

Alternatively, you could go here:
http://booking.parisinfo.com/z7356e1...ur-offers.aspx and not have to buy anything other than your ticket. You might look at the Paris City Passport, which offers not only the museum access, but also local transport, including a river cruise and the Hop On/Hop Off tourist buses. Of course you can also buy tickets for all these separately, but this one ticket offers convenience and possibly a lower price than all the separate tickets it includes. |
Saving the queuing could be more important than the money. Queues at major museums can be very very long.
Definitely suggest you buy one of them. |
I am thinking of getting Paris Museum pass, its more reasonable at 39Euro pp.

do not take stuff that has to be checked. the check in line at some museums is a forever. getting them back takes just as long.

I'm going to try this one out. its 50 Euros cheaper than the Paris Pass, and looks like it includes similar stuff. Sorry if I'm missing the obvious, but is Versailles included in this pass?

Can anyone confirm that Paris museum pass will allow skip the line.

louvre and some of the other places get so crowded, look for an alternate entrance to get in. the last time we went, across from the coat check was a guard at a staircase down. he let us in with a week pass.

Outside of coats or backpacks, anything else that would have to be checked?
