LeCab: new fixed-price cab service
I hadn't heard of this before reading this article in L'Express, but since December 2012 there's a new cab service in town:
http://en.lecab.fr/
They tout their strong points as high-quality service and fixed tarifs, for example 55€ CDG-Paris regardless of traffic jams or time of day.
If anyone uses it, please report back here and share your experience.

Thanks, I will try and use them when I return.
I guess it works like Uber..
Wonder if the taxi drivers will be upset about this new one. Remember the taxi strike a few months ago, it was because of such companies.

I have tried this new service, and it was great.
App really simple to use (not so easy to login the first time).
You can check online where is your cab when the cab is approaching. You can make a call directly to the driver.
Nice Black Peugeot car (leather seat, iPad with playlist).
Welcoming staff
And the price is cheaper than Taxi!!: only EUR 45 from Paris downtown (I live in 7th arrondissement) to CDG (fixed price, whatever the traffic and time needed).
Amex welcomed.
Definitely my choice!

Sounds like an Uber but for the ipad with music.
So taxi from CDG to the 7th is 45, cheaper than Uber.
There is My Club, I have the app, but never used it.

The big difference with Uber is that you set both your pick up and drop off locations, and it proposes a route and a price before you confirm the request. Chauffeur-privé does this, too.
One of the problems I had with Uber was drivers who did not know the city outside of the center very well, which resulted in some very circuitous routes and inflated fares. Customer service always took care of it afterwards, but it got tiresome. I've been happy with Chauffeur-privé in general.

Looks like the company is related to Addison-Lee, the minicab company I use in London, which is in the upper tier of minicabs in terms of price and quality.

Just used them. From CDG to the 7th, 55 euros.
App was easy to use, one problem though. I put in the airline but apparently it didn't show. Otherwise very good service. Will use them again. Cheaper than Uber.

Last 3 trips used Paris Airport Service-- 28E for 1 person, 33 E for 2 people, CDG to anywhere in Paris! Great clean cars, wonderful courteous bi lingual drivers. Highly recommended.
Their website is acting up lately, you may have to email for a reservation.

Been using LeCab for 3 months now. 45 Euros from Champ de Mars/Ecole Militaire area to CDG, less than 25 Euros pretty much anywhere in central Paris.
Things have changed a bit though. Last saturday I was unable to get a cab after 10 pm because all available cars were reserved to "Abonnes". Will have to find out how to get a subscription instead of the regular account.
