CDG and carry on bags
Just wondering how strict CDG is these days with regard to carryon sizing. I have a spinner carryon from samsonite...have used it through BRU no probs but haven't passed thru CDG recently. Thanks!

I have never had a problem with a 22" Victorinox that I often use. If it is actually beyond the stated limits I don't know what might happen. I have not been in that situation. I have had numerous odd things that don't conventionally fit (large rigid plastic trays, for example) that have not caused any issues at CDG. I transit CDG about once a month, always with some odd pieces.

Was there a few months ago, they did not seem to pay much attention to carry on size, nothing like the London airports

Flew out of there recently, they were more interested in amount of carry-on bags rather than size.

As this is not airline-specific, but rather is airport-specific, it will move to the appropriate Forum. /JDiver, Moderator

I flew out in late Sept this year. Didn't have problem with the carryon size.
My problem came when I got to security. The guy had issue with an item in my bag and insisted that I checked my bag or throw it out. |
Just to add to the consensus, I'm through CDG all the time and haven't ever been questioned about my carry-on's size.
Peace. |
My 22" Travelpro (more with wheels and handle) has never been a problem there.
