TGV connection at CDG
My first post on this forum. We're headed for I'lsle Sur la Sorgue next April, arrive CDG @ 7:30 on AA. There's a TGV for Nimes at 9:27. The next train via Aviginon is at 11:42 with a station change. Is it possible to clear passport and customs and make the 9:27?
Thanks, Neil |

The good thing is that AA uses T2, so you will be able to walk to the TGV station without needing to take any kind of shuttle. The walk is all indoor and is aided by moving walkways.
When you get to the Sheraton Hotel lobby entrance, look down and the TGV and RER stations are down below - just take the escalators or elevator. There's a SNCF ticket office there, but as suggested above, try to have your tickets and seat reservations in hand before arriving. |

Thanks all. I plan on buying the tickets precisely 90 days out to hit the best prem fare. Plus being 60+, we qualify for senior discounts that are refundable and changeable. Somewhere I've read that there's a patisserie above the TGV station and hopefully, someplace I can pickup a bottle of wine as well.

As for wine, are you looking to buy a gift, or just something to drink on the train? I'm not certain that there is anywhere to buy nice wine between where you disembark the airplane and the train station. There's a small grocery store in the basement of the airport between T2A and T2C where you'll find drinkable grog. Again coming from T2A, take the down escalator/elevator just after the McDonald's and subsequent café; the market is on your right. Peace. |

Thanks so much for the directions! We're looking forward to the trip:)

Hopefully you like antique shopping as Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is famous for it. I went once and there were acres and acres of "junk". :)
As for the wine, you would be much better served by waiting til you reach your destination to shop for wine. You will have a much better selection than the airport and you won't have to carry it throughout your train trip. |
