Cheering Stations
Cheering Stations are a great way to show your support along the route to encourage walkers and let them know that you are with them every step of the way. Seeing familiar faces cheering them on can provide that extra burst of energy that gets them to take that next step or go the next mile. Create banners, hold up signs, bring some music and make some noise - anything to make them smile, get energized and keep walking.

Closing Ceremony
After three days and 60 miles, participants will take a final and incredibly emotional victory walk into the Closing Ceremony. Friends, family and supporters should arrive at the Closing Ceremony site at least one hour early to get the best view of the program. Please allow extra travel time due to expected congestion at the site.

All walkers and crew members should remain in the Participant Holding Area where they will receive a victory shirt, cheer on fellow walkers and crew members and celebrate one last time together before their dramatic victory walk. The Participant Holding area is CLOSED to spectators. If you wish to meet with a participant before the Ceremony begins, please have them meet you at the Closing Ceremony site. All participants must return to the Holding Area no later than 4:00 pm in order to join the victory walk.

Sunday, September 14th Schedule:
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Walkers arrive at Holding Area
3:30 pm: Spectators arrive and should head directly to the stage
4:00 pm: Participants begin lining up for victory walk
4:30 pm: Closing Ceremonies begin

Congratulations and THANKS for doing this! I know how difficult this is since one of my co-workers has done it for the last 2 years. Good luck and again, thanks for caring about this important cause!

Also, I would love to meet up at Maximillien's - one of my favorite places!

Awesome, Missy!! I've been tempted to do this in the past, but never succumbed. I don't think I could make the full 3 days with my knee, but ever so tempting. Also not sure if I can even be in SEA that weekend, but I will try to be there to cheer you on. Way to go!!

You should definitely give it a go. They have vans to pick up walkers that need to take breaks along the way.

Missy, I'm checking to see if my office is putting together a team as I'm also going to be on the walk; this'll be my first time. If we don't, I'll look for your team instead!

Congrats Missy! I did this walk two years ago and it was a wonderful experience.

Met one of my very close friends this way - you get to know people VERY WELL when you are walking with them for 6+ hours each weekend. Our small team of 16 raised over $75K!

Will your team be keeping a group blog? If not, please post updates from time-to-time...

You expect us to plan for a Sunday in September??? We can't even commit
to SeaDo yet. The walking will be excellent for you. Good cause, that said, we sent money.
