Thanks for bumping this. It reminded me that I had donor points to redeem before January 23rd.

I donated last week, #40.

I've been going since I was 17 years old, but had to quit for years and years due to very very low iron on a regular basis.
Finally had a ferritin test, and discovered that normal is 50 -100, and my level was 10~ It's an ongoing struggle to keep my iron up, but I donate every 56 days as long as my hemoglobin is ok. Barely squeaked through last week! Cut off is 25, and I was 25!

I donated on Valentine's Day! It's the first day in over a year and just the second time in 2.5 years I've been able to give. Usually my iron levels are too low.

My company makes it really easy, though. It's just on the 3rd floor of our building, so all it takes is a quick elevator ride! They try to hold it 4-5 times per year.

One more pint out, two more Oreos in.

Today's needle dude had mad skillz--I filled the bag in 6 minutes. Usually I set off the alarm I'm so slow. If he's there next time I go, I'll definitely request him.

Are they strict about weight? I've never tried to donate because you technically need to weigh 110 pounds. I'm right around 100.
