Gave another lot of blood during the week, so thought I should bump the thread.
Blood Type A+
Been giving blood once a year for the last 4 years, one thing they didn't have this year was the biscuits and cheese. They need to bring them back so I can donate more.
What is handy is the reference on your weight and blood pressure, and both are going up, if only slightly.

I haven't been eligible to donate for some time due to restrictions for BSE and malaria, mostly--if it's a malaria risk country, that's a 12-month DQ. And the complete disqualification if you've spent 6+ months total in Europe since 1980 is a rough one, though I've yet to reach that mark.
I wonder if some of the other blood services have less stringent travel eligibility requirements? (These are based on the American Red Cross.)

That is the downside to traveling and seeing the world.

Just gave blood this morning at a blood drive at our office. Drank a half liter of water before donating, one in the canteen, and am halfway through another half liter.
