Gifting Excess AAdvantage Miles to a Worthy Cause
If anyone wants to know how to get rid of excess American Airlines frequent flier miles, here is a great option:
The charity I work for does fundraising for a Spanish animal shelter. That's our primary goal, but we also occasionally bring dogs over from the shelter to be adopted by North America families, in order to relieve population pressure at the shelter.
We currently have a backlog of 12 dogs that have been adopted here and need to be transported from Madrid. We have a volunteer who can go get them on either American Airlines or Iberia, but since we operate entirely on individual donations, we can't afford the cost of the volunteer's flight(s).
If you can donate some miles, please pm me for details.
