SPG Ambassador Passed Away. Children Trust Fund Information

All,

I received devastating news a couple weeks ago that my SPG Ambassador was killed in a car accident. Patrick was an amazing guy. He always took care of me and my family when we were travelling and he truly was one of the great ones at SPG. It always felt like I was calling a friend when I spoke with him. Patrick sadly left behind a wife and two children and I wanted to pass on the details related to an education trust fund set up for them. I know that most of you will have no connection to Patrick, but I figured some of you may be kind enough to consider a donation. Our Starwood ambassadors go out of their way to do a lot of great things for us and I feel that there is no better way to give back than in this family's true time of need. I am not particularly comfortable asking for donations online but I figured posting this here may just help out a little bit. Thank you for your consideration.

You may also send a check or money order to the above branch with the account number on it. The check must read Margaret Harmon in trust on the to line.

If you are in the U.S. or international, you may also send a check or money order as stated above, or you can also send a wire transfer with utilizing the following information:

How sad. Thank you for sharing this. As a father to two young children myself, I will certainly contribute to this good cause.

Cheers,

Would suggest you ask the mods if this can be posted in the ft cares forum so there is further visibility. Very good of you to share this information.

Sad news.

As this is specifically relevant to the FT SPG community, we'll host this thread here in Starwood for a while, and then move it over to the FT cares forum.

Very sad, expecially thinking about the young children. Hope the mother and children can cope with this well.

I will certainly contribute to this good cause as well.

Sad news indeed.... I will also make a contribution from my end and hope that they will be able to raise enough money for supporting his children's education/ family.

indeed a sad news and I also hope they raise enough money for supporting his family. I am not sure what is the appropriate amount of contribution in this case.

i imagine FTers could also donate award travel, perhaps one of the starwood lurkers could facilitate communication.

I just saw this.

While I don't have kids myself, it made me think of my nephew, who has a 4-yo and a 1-yo....and I had to think of the impact to his family.

I have friends who live in Ontario and I have asked them to facilitate a donation from me.

Very sad for his family.
