SPG Ambassador Passed Away. Children Trust Fund Information
All,
I received devastating news a couple weeks ago that my SPG Ambassador was killed in a car accident. Patrick was an amazing guy. He always took care of me and my family when we were travelling and he truly was one of the great ones at SPG. It always felt like I was calling a friend when I spoke with him. Patrick sadly left behind a wife and two children and I wanted to pass on the details related to an education trust fund set up for them. I know that most of you will have no connection to Patrick, but I figured some of you may be kind enough to consider a donation. Our Starwood ambassadors go out of their way to do a lot of great things for us and I feel that there is no better way to give back than in this family's true time of need. I am not particularly comfortable asking for donations online but I figured posting this here may just help out a little bit. Thank you for your consideration.

Would suggest you ask the mods if this can be posted in the ft cares forum so there is further visibility. Very good of you to share this information.

Sad news.
As this is specifically relevant to the FT SPG community, we'll host this thread here in Starwood for a while, and then move it over to the FT cares forum.

indeed a sad news and I also hope they raise enough money for supporting his family. I am not sure what is the appropriate amount of contribution in this case.

I just saw this.
While I don't have kids myself, it made me think of my nephew, who has a 4-yo and a 1-yo....and I had to think of the impact to his family.
I have friends who live in Ontario and I have asked them to facilitate a donation from me.
Very sad for his family.
