Oversold Finnair flight - trying to get my compensation?

Hi guys,

Wondering if you could help me with my problem.

I was booked on a 7.30am Finnair flight from LHR to Helsinki last week only to be told it was oversold and that I would be put on the 10.30am flight. I wasnt happy at all, but they did tell me I was to recieve €400 compensation - which sounded ok to me. Anyway, I was told that I would recieve it on arrival at Vantaa, yet nobody was there to meet me. So I headed on down to the ticketing desk for which they took down my address and email told me that someone Finnair would be in touch within 3 weeks! Is this standard practice? And what are the chances that they will actually get in touch?

Also -dDoes anyone have an email address for Finnair customer care as I couldnt find one on the website!

Appreciate anyones comments!

Try www.finnair.com...

They are very hard to catch by phone, but they answer to the e-mails (at least after a couple of trials). In your case, the EU-rules will be of help.

Thanks - but as I said - I couldnt find an email address on the site! Can you help?

It appears they do not have direct e-mail for customer relations but instead they give the phone numbers.

It's very easy to contact Finnair with the form

So surf for example:
1. www.finnair.com/uk
2. From the top bar (Travel) select "Customer care"
3. Left bar select "Feedback"
4. In the bottom you see "Feedback form"
5. Select your topic as "Irregularities" and write the complaint.

It wasn't so difficult or was it?
