Well, thanks for the tip. I just booked a J award to BKK in late Feb. I almost consider this an error fare – by no means does AY want to give away award seats during this busy travel period. Let's see how this progresses and how many cancellations and schedule changes are in store for me.

Plane type shows as A350 with new J and large J.

Thanks for thanks but they really go to Florens who gave us the first clue👍

I agree, this cannot be intentional, very rarely, if ever, have we seen U9 to/from any LH destination and I expect them to disappear very very soon. During covid there was good U availability but rarely more than 1-2 to any SEA destination.

Same feeling as booking a mistake fare, well said.

Would be cute if I could book AY coded SYD-DOH-HEL-TLL tix in the future. I really hope the codeshares with QR will increase.

I woke up 7AM and started to read FT. Suddenly I realized that I go BKK in DEC.

Yes, they most likely first cancel some of the other flights before releasing any (normal) inventory on the new ones, that would be one guess?

OCT for me, but looking for the rest of the season Dec-May only JL J seats for sale at a whopping 320k ay 😞 looks like alot of upgrade vouchers will go wasted if no awards or upgrade space is made available 🤷‍♂️🤯

Maybe they have moved lots of exARN BKK/HKT pax to these new exHEL flights..
Yeah, that's exactly what I've got, moved to AY 145 HEL-BKK instead of the cancelled HEL-ARN-BKK flight, which is a big win in my opinion On top of that the CS said that I could also claim some compensation for the cancelled HEL-ARN segment, but after the trip. Not sure how how that will work out.
