Well, that's a very long time no see! Used to be AY107/108, but of course now 007/008 is reserved for MIA. Why not 003/004?

Is this A330?

Taking AY005 to JFK, landing at 14:40, and AY016 home, leaving at 23:00, would mean about five hours in Manhattan. Nice day cruise!

Can’t remember exactly, but must’ve been in the late 1990s with MD11. Once a week in summer. I think it left HEL at around 5 pm (AY105 was 2:15 pm).

But of course you book two cruises at the same time! That’s two for the price of one, right?

my friends regard me crazy with my soccer match daytrips to London but now they might hear about daytrips to NHL too

Islanders kovis-hockey by Komarov nicely doable but Rangers Points-Panarin and KaapoKakko at Pennstatiom a bit tight.

Booked my first AY15. This is a great service, as it allows connecting from Central Europe. The current AY5 schedule is too early for same-day connections from most of the Central European origins. AY16 is a little too late for my liking, with departure at 23:00, but again optimal for onward connections from Helsinki. So I ended up booking the AY15/AY6 combination. Also, the combination of A350 for the day flight and A330 for the night flight works just fine.

Summer 2020: more LAX and more DEL

Finnair is adding three weekly frequencies to Delhi once the peak travel season for summer 2020 begins at the end of June.

Finnair is also adding a weekly frequency to its popular Los Angeles route. The new frequency, which will be operated with an Airbus A350, will be flown on Fridays as of July 3 and will be operated until the end of the 2020 summer season which concludes on October 24, 2020

DEL makes me excited. Do we know the schedule yet? Too bad my visa is running out in April.

Edit: at least the AY homepage only knows about the regular once-daily service. Checked mid-July.

Do you mean it was 4/weekly, and will now be 7/weekly?

Or it was 7/weekly and will be 10/weekly?

Do these JFK, DEL, LAX additions come kind of late, only a few months before summer? Or is this a usual timeframe?

Trying to make out whether the Chinese Flu has anything to do with these, or is it just about AY having more widebody capacity with the new A350s arriving?

Oh, okay. Then nothing to get excited about. I was already planning a ten-hour mass tourism trip to Old Delhi.

Do you know if it is daily or 7 weekly? (ie are the 7 departures spread evenly or not)
