The 100% bouns kicks in at 100 000 bought points.
Eg
100k points + 100k points: 1287,5€ (which is the ordinary price IIRC)

If program evolves as anticipated, this yields avios at the rate 0,00965625 €/Avios

Ba.com sells the same 200k avios for 4 245€, so in that comparison it is a bargain. (ba does have other ways to get avios cheaper that that though)
Another comparison is what bloggers et al says they think the value is - IIRC around 0,6-0,7 Eurocents per avios. So then not a real bargain.

I was happy to buy AY+ points during covid, as award availability was excellent and so were the offers. Longhaul J flights for some 1300 , including all taxes and fees.

Now award availability is what it is, points prices have increased and there is a copay. Why would anyone buy AY+ points?

possibly for status changes and there are still some deals to be had with points even if they are less now

What about if you transfer AY points (avios) next year to BAEC where the availability is, or at least has been, better?

I think you've accidentally compared apples with oranges.. I mean Avios with ay+..

The promo buys 200k AY points for 1287,50 = converted to Avios at 3:2 it means 1287,50 buys approx. 133k avios

On BA 133k Avios costs ~ 2800

So if you buy a minimum of 100k AY points to get the full 100% bonus the cost per AY point is 0,006 / ay point and 0,00956 / avios as you mentioned.

If we go with what the bloggers say, aka 1 avios is worth 0,6 - 0,7 then buying 1 avios for 0,00956 is a really great deal..

The biggest question here at least for me is if the points can later on be transferred to BA.. that would open up some pretty great opportunities.. (aka. Australia in J return for 125k avios would cost <1300)

Inded... euro-cents was the intended unit, so blogger suggested value 0,006-0,007 €/avios - and YMMV of course.

Any points purchase above 100k AY-points will yield the same €/Avios ratio. But the intended comparison in hard cash was at 300 k points:

1931,25€ => 300k AY AP => 200k Avios at 0,00965625 €/avios.

While BA.com sells 200k Avios for 4 245€ (0,021225 €/Avios), ie more than twice the AY-promo-price.

Other sites have varying valuations, but everyone should have their OWN valuations for points ie WHAT VALUE YOU end up getting for them...

2023 I have mainly redeemed points for flights and hotels and I have ended up getting 1,5-3x the value bloggers have said and I compare what I would have paid for my hotels or flights vs points cost so of my flight was 3500 in J I dont count that AS I would NEVER pay that in cash but instead based on what I would normally be willing to pay 😀🤷‍♂️

Call me a sceptic, but I won't fork out hard 2k€ cash for (nearly) any amount of funny money (points) that can be (and are) devalued at a whim and where I might or might not be able to use them when I need to.

Doesnt BA also sell Adios at a 50% discount from time to time?

Weird, it states "you can buy up to 200k this year" but I can't buy more than 60k... Though these limitations are gone while promotions are in place?
