Changes to lounge benefits?

Under tier benefits on AY webpages, it now reads:
"When travelling on Finnair flights (AY code on the ticket), you have access to the Finnair Lounge services. This benefit applies to you and one guest travelling on the same flight. At other airports, the lounge benefit applies only to the lounge printed in your boarding pass and only when travelling on Finnair flights."
(The same for Platinum and Lumo (one -> four guests for Lumo).)

But: same flight, only Finnair flights, only lounge printed on boarding pass??
Has the text always been like this? Or has something changed, are these rules really enforced now?
(Could they even enforce these, would be different from OW tier benefits?)

This of course differs from what I was expecting, which is still written at
...smooth-travelling-at-helsinki-airport/finnair-lounges-at-helsinki-airport (Sorry I cannot post URLs yet, apparently)

"As a Finnair Plus Platinum Lumo member, you can bring four guests. If you hold a Finnair Plus Platinum or Gold card, you can bring one guest. As a Finnair Plus Platinum Lumo, Platinum or Gold member, you can bring your children under the age of 18 with you. Guests need to travel on a flight that is operated and marketed by a oneworld airline."

The language has been changed a bit, that's true.

However, right below that text it is stated that:
"You also have access to oneworld First Class, Business Class or frequent flyer lounges, regardless of travel class. This benefit applies to you and one guest travelling on the same flight."

The rule that the guest needs to be on the same flight instead of a oneworld-marketed and -operated flight is a new statement though.

With "only Finnair flights" I am not sure what they mean but can't imagine lounge access on oneworld tickets would be cut - that would undermine the entire alliance.

When flying out JFK on AY J class, the boarding pass has consistently had a lower lounge class printed to the one that I am entitled to. I ignored this and went to a higher class lounge. I wonder if this language has anything to do with that..

I doubt it. If they have a "contracted lounge" such as the Greenwich lounge at an outstation, they will show it regardless of if there was an F lounge for higher tier members. They don't even show Plat Wing invite in HEL anymore.

Are there any airports for which another lounge would be shown to tier members than J passengers? (Used to be the case in LHR I think with No1 for J and CX for tier members but now all are invited to CX)

As far as the OW policy goes, luckily nothing has changed when it comes to guesting, unlike Star Alliance where guests cannot be on a different flight since 2021:

“Emerald and Sapphire members may invite one guest to join them in the lounge. The guest must also be travelling on a flight operated and marketed by a oneworld carrier.”

That being said, AY is in the wrong here when it comes to +1 guest. They can however make up their own rules when it comes to family access or Lumo guest allowances.

This has strange outcomes at some times. Like in MIA Finnair invites you to the Turkish Airlines Lounge. They have contracted from a competing alliance. We went to the AA Flagship though.

OT, but the mention of that Turkish Airlines Lounge in Miami brought back some memories. It holds the record for the shortest amount of time I've spent in a lounge. I literally walked a few meters in, turned around, and left because it was so bad. On the other hand, the AA lounge was pretty good.

Shape of things to come? This on a business class flight, on top of all things. The paper version even said "No longe access. This invitation is for two persons"
