Rotation made incorrectly and too much relying on technical functionality.
3 dedicated aircraft flying 2 daily routes and 1 route with 6 weekly departures. Not enough on-ground time.

The HEL-ORD route continues to have meltdowns. AY9 today will be delayed, current estimated departure time is 1615, that's a 2h 20m delay. I'm connecting from ARN, so I will have almost 6 hours at HEL. It's a good thing I can visit the reopened Platinum wing.

The same occurred two days ago (the previous time AY9 wasn't cancelled) when the flight took off at 17:03. AY uses an aircraft coming in from SEA, with scheduled arrival in HEL at 14:50.

Which means it's never going to depart 16:15, more like 16:45 at best. AY does not manage to turn around a widebody in less than 1 h 50 min.

They still have a good margin to the standard operating procedure of AY69. Unless too tightly planned rotation regularly leads to more than 8 h dealy then just move on, nothing here to be seen.

16.50 now and still no sign of the AC leaving the gate. Im on board. Old style 330. So didnt get to experience the new C as planned. The upside : individual airnozzles 😁. Plane landed at 14.25 from SEA so HEL ground operations for turnaround do NOT impress. Crew seems nice enough. New style menu concept. Now approaching 3hr delay on arrival. EU261 here we come 😉

Yes, it takes them around two hours to turn a widebody. I haven't seen any exceptions although I guess there may be some. Of course, the schedules are rather padded so they could make up some time in the air.
Make note of when the door opens on arrival because that is what your EC261 claim will be based on. If indeed you reach the 3-hour limit, I think we would all be grateful if you let us know how AY handled your claim. It does look like you should be arriving about 2 h 40 min late, though.
A330 old J is alright in my opinion, especially if you get a throne seat.
