Helsinki Plaza Premium Arrivals Lounge

I was very fortunate today to be able to visit the new Helsinki Plaza Premium lounge in the arrivals hall, it opened today and I was very impressed. I got access through my AMEX platinum card, the normal entry fee is €40 for 3 hours and for the price you pay for food and drink in Finland, it seems to be quite reasonably priced. However, extras such as premium drinks, sauna, beauty salon treatments, sleeping pods are chargeable. The staff couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and we even had our photograph taken as we were the first customers. Here is some photographs.

Cold buffet. Hot food available to order.

Seating area.

Adjustable desks for working.

Meeting pods up to 8 persons.

More sitting areas

Drinks and snacks

Men’s toilets

Bar area.

Sauna

Showers

Looks nice, so I assume any arriving BP is enough for entry?

What drinks were included? Whar was the food like?

We didn’t even have same day boarding passes, just boarding passes for the next day. We had to come into the arrivals hall via the new entrance from the train station to go through to the Hilton airport hotel and happen to see it. We tried our luck and they granted us entry. So I’m not sure whether you need a boarding pass or just the AMEX card but I assume it was just an error on their behalf.
We didn’t order any hot food as we wanted to check in to the hotel but the snacks were of a very good standard. Drinks were beer, wine and sparkling wine, I don’t think spirits are included.

I'd expect they are happy to check you in as long as you have any valid entry pass. That's how they make money and these types of lounges have never been too strict on the type of boarding pass you present.

Previously I reported seeing an opening offer for 28€ entry, was it? And did you ask about other cards? I will pass by next week. Will test then.

It looks very different from the Plaza Premium lounge on the non-Schengen side.

Yes, generally it a lot nicer with far more amenities, however, no basic spirits included without charge.

Any idea what the business model for the hair salon is? Is it for everyone or only lounge guests? Liked the MRoom at the airport as a place to get a quick haircut if I arrived at the airport early..

No idea, it’s probably best to contact the lounge direct.
