Front row seats in the new seat have bigger footwells at least in my experience, or the row 1 seats do. I didn't know AY had planes with the minicabin and new seat???

ORD (1JUN22 to 30OCT22)

Does this mean that from June 1st onwards until 30 oct, the ORD (AY009/AY010) has the new J?

Yes. Or at least that's what they promise.

A330 seat recommendations?

Any preference for seats in in 7-row A330 J cabin? Want to avoid seats next to the galley and without windows.

Yet they've just tweeted welcoming Chicago to the renewed cabin family. The cancellation message obviously didn't get through!

Ay1301 hel-ams

Hi,
I have noticed that tomorrow's AY1301 HEL-AMS has been shifted to an A321. (I think there was first an A350 and then up until yesterday an A330). Any chance Finnair will change it back to an A330?

Mods, please feel free to move post to different thread if needed! Thanks

No chance.

It was OH-LTM but due to one 333 suffering tech, LTM goes ORD today.

As another data point, just got notification that Sunday’s early morning HEL-LHR departure has been switched from A330 (old cabin) to A350 (old cabin)…

Have they started flying the new J to DEL yet? I have a flight coming up in 2 weeks and was wondering.

Flying to Chicago in Business on Saturday, and the seat map now indicates an old cabin. Reason for compensation? AFAIK this will mean quite old seats, smaller entertainment screens, less privacy.

You could try, but it is still proper J. I doubt AY would give any compensation.

PE is a different thing, of course. If I was in PE, I would ask at the gate for an upgrade to J if not proactively offered. I suppose AY has a policy for this, as it is self-evident there will be cases where people buy PE but end up on a plane without PE seats.

Regular EC261 downgrade compensation would apply for PE pax that are seated in Y, of course.
