Any route can occasionally have aircraft with the new seats. Especially the A330 routes have a good chance of having the new cabin, as AY has only one active A330 with the old cabin (OH-LTM, which seems to fly mostly between HEL and ORD).

If I go out in order to dine, I most certainly choose some other venue than AY J.

How about waitlists? All waitlist requests via CS (at least my upgrades over my flight history have been 80% via CS waitlist) now +1k too?

Hi,
Managed to try this new cabin yesterday on the temp. equipment use on the HEL-AMS evening flight. I can just say that I love it more compared to the BA Club Suites.
Pros:
- spacious
- multi-functional in positioning
- large legroom compartment, sleeping would be no issue in whatever position
- lots of privacy
- lots of functional space/storage
- Touchscreen on the PTV was very good and smooth
Cons:
- seat material might not be comfortable for a long haul without the mattras
- quality of the seat - I happened to see some scratches on the TV monitors already (luckily it was just the paint and not the screen itself)
- SW used for the entertainment system - my TV set (luckily) went into a self resetting mode after we landed and stayed black after a few restart (by itself)
- cleanliness of the seat fabric - since the back of the chair will not be covered, how often will this be cleaned?
- difficult to reach small bags under the seat when in bed mode
- no place for shoes (pushing it under the chair when in bed mode?)
- too bad they did not have a small monitor on the handheld control (to have the flight path there as an option)
All in all, I am in the like team of this new cabin.
Cheers!
