2021 promotions

There is a sale going and Finnair.com says that Campaign Light ticket earn 50% points? I would have expected 25%, and suspect it's a website bug. I am a bit reluctant to book during sales, since I would have to pay the price difference if Covid messes up the plans. It's even less sensible if earnings are only 25%.

Did anybody get to try? or at least check the Fare basis?

Campaign gave 25% earning in the past. Has this changed? Or, is campaign light a new type?

That was with tickets before 31MAR20. New Ticket Types valid from 31MAR20.

Nope. Currently I have no interest at all. The campaign flights weren't even cheap...

0 bookings. Why make any, when the normal fares are just as cheap, and you just buy into a campaign fare class meaning booking changes become less safe (higher risk of due fare class difference, as it is almost guaranteed that there will not be space in your original exotic campaign fare class later).

Nope - why bother having money parked at AY, with high risk of no flying.

I still need to find dates for the tickets I booked in 2020 and need to be rebooked due to cancelations, but with the current restrictions, it is close to impossible. The only thing which works is to rebook the flights to the latest possible date and hope it gonna by OK by then. For the next months I will only book flights on a very very short notice, one week advance will be the maximum.

Indeed. I booked LHR cruise two weeks in advance and that was way too early.... Now it's postponed to August.

Lucky you, and since you are from the UK the chances are high that you got your vaccine by then.

All over 50y should have 1st vaccine by end of April and rest by autumn. This vaccine program is only thing UK has done well during covid as still over 1000 dying every day. Yesterday record 590 000 vaccinated and now 9 millions.
Still not sure how quickly Thailand will open...

Thailand is working on opening scenarios, the most likely scenario is to let everybody in without major restrictions who is already vaccinated, latest by Autum this should be established - otherwise, too much of the Thai economy will be destroyed forever.
