Easy change from AY 918 to AY 916 using web just 1 and half hour before flight.

This is getting crazy, I now have to cancel my next week's flight to South East Asia (one leg just cleared yesterday) and few more European flights (order from office).

Hypothetical question: Can you basically now just book the cheapest return flights regardless of the dates and after ticketing change them to the dates and flights you wanted in the first place (same day return or even same plane turnaround, that are lot more expensive to book)?

Yes, but there's no point as you'll have to pay the fare difference. It's only the change fee that's waived.

Incorrect. Or is this policy different for new bookings?

There have been different interpretations on this. I initially thought fare diff would be collected but I altered a non-cancelled trip the other day and was not charged. I am not sure it went into new fare bucket though, as ticket is written in U directly. So it proves nothing.

The reason I initially believed fare diff is to be collected for the new generic "peace of mind" waiver is because the competitors (like SK) has that rule. But I believe there have been other reports too that no fare diff is collected, but before officially confirmed or written in clear T&C, we canät really tell if it is mistakes or intended.

I rebooked a flight for free, no fare difference had to be paid. Originally flight was Z class and now showing O class.

No fare difference for date changes within the waiver, enough to have available seats in the respective cabin (and there’s lots of available seats now...)

Trump just put in a 30 day ban for all European travel to US, starting this coming Friday at midnight. UK might be excluded, early info now, but this is absolutely huge and unprecedented.

Airlines hard hit again, also Finnair. Trump corrected himself, cargo excluded, but this wont help airlines much
