OTOH you said here “at no additional cost” so I see ambiguity here

I CAN see Finnair interest ro suspend CAN due to 500€:ish J tix going bankcrupt, or at least, cancel the tix with no alternatives

( I am only jealous, my apologies...)

Yeah, I guess they are happy to cancel and refund. 😂 Fierror fare buyers always live with these kind of risks anyway. But who could have guessed a flu would be the way out of it for AY.

I’m afraid you’re out of luck - if it’s a promo/error fare, AY will be more than happy to reimburse you for cancellations and be done.

OTOH the fare difference between your ticketed fare and the current fare to SIN (NRT) etc might very well be such, that it’d make you more sense get the refund and book another ticket with AY or another airline.

My travel isn't until June so i'll sit on it, but yea...will be lousy to lose out on such a great deal fare. 550Euro roundtrip to Asia in J doesn't come around often.

I must have missed a very important fire sale. When exactly did they sell 500ish euro J to CAN for return? I basically fly there every half a year but the lowest of the low I have seen HEL to CAN return J is 1500eur in the recent these two year. 500ish EUR is crazy price

need an update on this sooooooon!

Whether it’s that the waiver/cancellation timeframe is extended, or whether the virus gets under control and place such as Singapore relax their travel restrictions :-/

Yeah I'm afraid you may be right. Mine wasn't an error - just a three day deep-discount sale that they had a few weeks ago, so I guess I will wait to see what happens.

Was looking at some flight options on EF and noticed that AY has zeroed out inventories for many AY101/102 in March. Probably preparing to cancel and move pax to AY99/100 with the current load factors? Or then closing reservations for all while they figure out which ones to keep.

It is getting more serious by the day, now AY will put LH crews on unpaid leave.

China has just changed how they classify infection cases, so that they’ve registered another 14,000 cases in the past 24 hours.

I cant see them resuming flights as normal directly after 29 March. Surely refund window must be extended.

I just cancelled my trip 26 feb to 1 march HEL - HKG and back

Very helpfull customer service I must say.

I did not want to rebook for a flight within the 3 months window they gave as I believe the virus will not be over by may (this is only me thinking)

I never flew Finnair Biz class so I was so much looking forward, but I am sure there will be more opportunities.
