It has been a craptastic year.

13 segments, but one more to go before new years night ends, so unlucky 14 it is.

While the year started nicely with BR J on B777, it quickly turned hellish black. Had to cut easter holiday in LIS short due to minior getting stomach flu, contracted from royal a-hole 2 rows behind us, with not one but two sick kids, spreading their germs all over the place, because the parents didn't want to forfeit their very likely non-refundable holiday trip.
Getting on the first best flight out of LIS in easter week requires major credit allowance as apparently TP can balance out 51 weeks of looses in one lousy easter week. (Yes, all sold out and if they were allowed to sell tickets for standing transport, they still would be able to charge an arm and a leg).

From bad it got worse when instead I had to forfeit a non-refundable LHR day-trip (planned with some idiots who ended up being "idolised" in local media). This time not due to sickness, unless you count mental illness, eg SO getting a mental breakdown because apparently I am needed at home 24/7 year-round as no one else can brush the teeth of minor and she will surely die if teeth goes unbrushed for a day and a half.

Now I am looking forward to this year's last segment: Flying a LH narrowbody in J to FRA (do they serve one 'prinskorv' and a spoonful of potato-salad in Euro-J too, or is that treat only for Y pax?) on new years eve so I can celebrate the ending of this great year alone in an airport hotel. Well, maybe, just maybe, this is a set-up for the glorious 2020 to come. Survivors will know.

Airports 9 (1 new: LIS)

Well while we idiots missed you, maybe it's good that there was no international incident. (Not counting Courmisch here...)

And here are the stats for my Lumotic run year. Lumo with J points achieved.

Total flown: 229031 km
Around the world: 5.71x
Airports: 32
Carriers: 7
Segments: 93
Countries: 19
Longest: HEL-SIN
Shortest: HEM-TLL
Northernmost: KTT
Southernmost: SIN
Westernmost: JFK
Easternmost: NKG

Running for Lumo was totally insane. I was looking at the stats and was thinking no way I have been to Singapore this year... After a while of resuscitating the brain I recalled a FT SIN DO. Lumotic BMW count was 2/13. Good year all in all. Now enjoying the spoils in Saigon.

The fallout: My colleagues now keep making fun of me whenever I have a trip coming, and I found out one colleague whose son knows you...

Could be worse.

In the end of 2018 I felt that Finnair flights were too often late. Thus I decided to make statistics about my 2019 flights operated by Finnair and Norra. During 2019 I had totally 94 such flights (operated by Finnair or Norra, including two wet lease flights from DAT LT). Out of 94 flights 48 were on time (51,1%), 42 delayed (44,7%) and 4 (4,3%) cancelled. Average delay was 19 minutes. All delay amounts were taken from TripCase app. Cancelled flights were replaced by taxi or bus trasportation.

I keep very extensive statistics of my travels, but now I realize that I have missed to track this very important detail. If I remember correctly, my Lumo-BMW rate was 1/4. Had mainly gate arrivals and departures. All missed ones are returns from AY2, which never seems to have a gate arrival.

A poor year for flights but few excellent highlights;

TWA JFK hotel opening Ceremony on 15th May was event number one for this year and second was a visit to Victorville Airport in California. Third is a trip to Havana.
