And two desserts:

Toilet in shower room #1 - a flawed design?

OK so I just used shower room #1 (i.e. one closest to the entrance) and I notice toilet bowl in this shower room is jammed up to the wall. There's barely any space between the bowl and the wall. I'm on the skinny side (honest! Size 30 pants in case you're wondering) and when I sat, my skin touched the wall. Now is summer but winter? Cold wall touching your skin while you sit? And how is someone larger supposed to use it? Sit sideways?!

At first I thought it was flawed but then I remember it was the same in the old shower where the toilet bowl was also jammed next to the wastafel/sink but at least there's space under sink. So maybe it's normal design here in Finland? I didn't check the other 2 rooms as they're being fixed/worked on by construction today.
Below is a picture so people can see what I'm talking about.

Today is day 3 and menu is the same so I suspect menu of the day may actually be menu of the month (or quarter)? However, beef cheek is also out so it's roast beef with red wine sauce.

And the more important part of the menu: apple pie with ice cream, strawberry and caramel sauce.

No, certainly not. You probably need a "FT'er bathroom showcase tour" in Finland to see what we have at our homes, so that you realise that the lounge simply has a poor restroom design, rather than what's the norm here.

Heh ... I suspected as much but didn't want to simply claim it's flawed! when it could be the norm hence why I phrased it as question rather than a statement. But ya, I don't understand why they have to put it so close to the wall. It's not like they didn't have the space - as anyone can see from the photo, there is enough empty space on the left.

If there are no purse hooks under the bar counter, my wife will consider this an utter failure . Thanks for sharing all the pictures!

This is so wrong! Thanks to the BREXIT madness I was afraid to book any LHR flights for the summer season, instead filling it up with all kinds of Schengen stuff. So it won't be until late August when I'll finally have a chance to try this one out

I really like the overall design in the lounge, looks like cheap solutions were avoided. IKEA was not let in...
