Current and historical promotions

This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.

The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.

2018 and earlier promotions can be found here.

very rare to see that low for PHL. Makes temptation to book for fun. But it is 58 then.

Yes, once they (BA CS) told me I can't book a seat due to my ticket... so another exception

Good to know. It was not clear to me from reading their site and last time (admittedly a long time ago) OWE was not entitled to anything.

And how is it done?

If I book on ba.com seats must be selected before passenger details are added. So they don't know I am OWE. I am presented with a charge for all seats.
And once I added my details, such as FF#, there are no option of selecting seats or go back anymore.

If I choose seats I am charged regardless of my OWE status.

New promo for Valentines day selected destinations with 50% point reduction: among others Hong Kong for 60 + 45.000 point. Very interesting for me.

I tried several suitable dates, but it never returned any availability. I called the CS Platinum line and asked when could I book this. This friendly but not-so-knowledgeable service agent tried some dates, then asked an experienced colleague and finally replied to me: Sir, you need to find the available dates with trial-and-error.

Why to place an offer if it is not available? Any hints how to handle this?

Just doing the same frustrating exercise for some European destinations. I do, however, enjoy the advice the CS gave you about the use of the AY webpage: "trial and error".

Just got the Promo mail. HKG isn't mentioned.
FCO, CPH, ALC and Tel Aviv.

Edit. More destinations when you click on the mail 😂

Does anyone know if these book into X or a separate bucket (if so, which)?
