OSL has kind of neglected Asia outside of BKK due to stronger competition from ARN, CPH and HEL, so I don't mind

They do already have a MoU regarding the codeshare, so it might actually happen. With this schedule the westbound flight would attract passengers connecting to AY, but the eastbound flight would have only limited connections from AY.

There is a handful of overnighters that leave Europe between 7 am and 8 am in the morning, reaching HEL well in time for the HO departure. Nordic and Baltic capitals also have connections to HO. So with a major destination, like PVG, this could actually work even if the arrival time at PVG is horrendous.

The same Finnish forum thread claims the following schedule:
TNA-HEL 15:30-19:30
HEL-TNA 22:30-13:15(+1)
Like HO, connection opportunities at HEL are rather limited with such schedule. There are not many flights arriving in the evening mini-wave, and even that would involve several hours layover.

Tibet Airlines has announced that they’ll launch 2x weekly flights between Jinan and Helsinki as of April 8, 2019. /QUOTE]
Next steps:
- open Google Maps
- search for Jinan
- think if TNA-HEL service even makes sense

It's a state-owned airline (I think owned by CA?) so business case is secondary. I wonder why it chooses Jinan instead of a city where it's already flying from. Maybe big subsidies ...

Sorry off topic post, but didn't want to start a new thread for this.
We are booking July to Bali for honeymoon. Possibly 24th July - 2n Aug (+/-2day)
I wanted to get 2 Y tickets with AY(upgrade both) transit in HKG then continue with CX.
To my surprise there is almost no availability on CX in economy, only economy pro (close to 2k one way). left me with HX as option.
Never done HX before, can i get our luggage directly to DPS or i need a hassle(re-check in luggages) in HKG? I assume it can be done, as AY sells their tickets. If HX doesnt workout with luggage i will have to go with QR.
advices please?

AY sells interlines with HX to some destinations, and it can indeed be cheaper than CX/KA. I was checking HEL-HKG-SYX (though gave up). However note that you will not get any Oneworld benefits on the HX legs.

On which basis would you have access though? With Diners Club ending (in Nordic countries), sone gone are the days of free lounge access for the occasionally disloyal!
