I would. Standing in a crowded bus for 20 minutes, waiting for that last someone who hasn't boarded yet, is terrible. And on arrival, it's not much better to stand in that bus by the aircraft, waiting for everyone and their mother, either.

especially when it's 20 below and the bus is waiting and waiting. Ah, the beamer would be driving in front of the bus, I guess

Now if Finavia would turn their general aviation terminal into a Lumo terminal... OK, I stop daydreaming

In the E90, your bag would have fit the overhead bins. In the AT7, the cargo hold where they but the valet checked bags might be small, but if they could allow others' bags to be valet checked, then why not yours?

If this is the case, then this particular employee was way out of line. And you talked to his supervisor to no avail?

I wonder what would have happened if you had simply refused. He would have denied you from boarding, and after that you would have been forced to escalate the matter to get rebooked to the next flight. In that process, someone may have become interested in why you didn't take the flight you were supposed to, especially if it was a nonrefundable ticket.

Absolutely outrageous behaviour.
Yes, my hand luggage was within both size and weight limits, I weighed my bag at final destination. It was an ATR plane, which is small and I understand they should limit the amount of luggage going into plane. However, I don't believe 50% of the other passangers were all gold or platinums who are permitted for extra hand luggage.

I asked to talk to his supervisor or what his name is for further actions but he refused to put me in contact with his supervisor or give his name. I think he was pretty close to deny my boarding.

This has been reported to AY and they allready replied and apologized. As I understood they have elevated this issue on the next level. I think the reply came really quickly given this happened on Friday evening and the first reply came today (Saturday).

Well, the bag wouldn't fit in the AT7 lockers. It's been years since I've flown AT7 with a cabin bag that doesn't fit the overheads – do they still put them in the cargo hold and give them to you at disembarking? What did they do with other people's carry ons?

Even if he might have wanted to deny you from boarding, I think he probably understood that by actually doing that, he would be in a lot of trouble from his boss on Monday morning. I think the reply you got is the best one possible. The "higher level" is not going to come back to you and let you know what measures were taken. But since you are Lumo, maybe they actually should do just that. After all, how much work can it be to write a follow-up to one of your top-100 customers. Even if it is just a "I've personally spoken to the agent in question to make sure that this will not happen again" kind of note.

Worked well for me on Friday. Driver told me that there are currently two cars available for Lumos . Cars are marked as L1 and L2. There is Finnair plus Platinum Lumo - services provided by BMW stickers on car doors. Driver was holding Finnair Plus Platinum sign. I arrived to Helsinki around 4pm. She mentioned that I was her second customer on that day. Car was brand new and driver very polite. I am going to use this service for sure if it will be available in the future. For some reason I could not download any photos but I will try to do it later.

Welcome to FT, Pmjv! I wonder how many Lumos we actually have here – a significant percentage anyway.

To have a Platinum sign is a little awkward. If I saw that sign, I would take it to mean me since I'm Platinum – wouldn't be nice to be turned away. Surely they should make a Lumo sign?!

May have been the same guy who withheld my boarding last June until everyone else had boarded and told me that platinum does not matter if there are "problems with the ticket". Complained and received 5000 points =/

Thank you! Actually the sign was clearly saying FINNAIR PLUS PLATINUM LUMO. Sorry about my mistake. I noticed my mistake when the message was already sent. Everything else was very nice and fancy but I personally felt that sign itself looked a bit cheap. Anyway it did take anything away from good service I received.

NO NO NO, it will make 50 OUL-HEL commuters, 50 HEL-ARN commuters and 50 FT'ers feel like they are important to the company. Money well spent!

But seriously, if they did have a true premium lounge, and if that lounge had tarmac access then I see a true value for ultra-frequent flyers. Quickly off the plane, get driven directly to lounge where you can maximize the short connection time. Then, at true final call, pick up lumos from lounge and get them on the departing flight last minute.

If that scenario ever happens, then it makes sense. But not with todays lounges, especially the non-Schengen is a zoo during rush hours.

Welcome to our little corner of FT, Pmjv!

What an opening post, winning the "who on FT will be the first to ride the Lumo-BMW?" competition!

ZRH F lounge works like that. In ZRH the F lounge has its dedicated security & immigration (downstairs) where you're escorted to and then off to drive to the plane. If it's an F-heavy flight, you might have to put up with a Merc minibus instead of the Porsche or the Merc limo. I understand FRA F is similar.
