The terms and conditions on the partner mission does not exclude credit cards, at least for me:
Saadaksesi lisäpisteet tehtävästä sinun tulee ansaita 5 000 Finnair Plus -palkintopistettä miltä tahansa palveluita tarjoavalta Finnair Plus -yhteistyökumppanilta (lukuun ottamatta lentoyhtiöiltä ansaittuja pisteitä sekä pistesiirtoja kahden Finnair Plus -jäsenen välillä)

Great translation... the English version excludes credit cards, the Finnish does not. I just tried it and I get the same text as you.

Great news! Mission completed. Earn 5000 partner points is now completed and my +3000 points are "pending".
I signed up for Amex gold a while ago. I transfered the sign-up bonus to AY+ yesterday and now I have mission completed. :-D
So obviously amex works no matter what T&C states.

So basically, if I transfer 6500 MR points to my AY account and get 5200 AY plus points, AY will give me 3000 more?

Edit: I just did the transfer online. Let's see if it works.

Also, does anyone have the right answers to Quiz 2? Tried three times and failed...

Well, it worked for me.
I don't remeber the answers for quiz 2, I passed on my first attempt. Just remember you can't use AY points for space travels. 😂

All I'm getting is: Something went wrong, please try again later

I did notice the message (below) on the front page of Plus, but it's after that time in Helsinki according to the google. Does Finnair.com use another time zone?

Due to a system update all Finnair Plus services are unavailable from 02:30 AM until 4:30 AM on 25 January. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Still not very tempting - 6,5K MR = 8,2k AY is still just 1,26AY/€ - I think there re better uses for the MR points. DC is much better with a straight 3:1 earning (and thus it needs only a 1667€ spend to trigger the 3k "mission" - if only DC would be better accepted in SIN...)

Yeah, my problem is that I currently have 100 000 MR points, and no real use for them. So this was good enough for me. I don't use Amex anymore, SEB AY MC gives me 2AY/€ and is usable everywhere (as opposed to DC).

My calculation would be: Get referral for Amex Gold with a complimentary first year and complimentary 10k MR. The cost is pretty much 11000AY for the first € spent.

Not getting the " Due to a system update all Finnair Plus services are unavailable" message but still getting: "Something went wrong, please try again later" on the Missions pages.

I was enabling the two step authentication after completing the quizzes, and now login just froze (couldn't help but wonder if I managed to make myself a suspicious log in!)

Tried another browser and seems now that the whole site is down. Oh well, will have to come back later.

Okay, so it didn't work for me in Firefox, but it's fine in Chrome (duh!). Just completed Quiz # 2, but it seems I can't go any further because I don't Facebook.

Regarding the "FLY WITH FINNAIR TO FIVE NORDIC COUNTRIES AND EARN 3,000 EXTRA AWARD POINTS" mission:

  • Your previous Finnair flights to destinations in Nordic countries since June 2014 are counted towards the required number of destinations (all five Nordic countries). Earlier flight history is not considered. Every flight is counted only once. Both departure and arrival destination is counted, for example flight from Helsinki to Stockholm gives you two Nordic countries (Finland, Sweden).
How do you understand this? For me three of countries are already ticked. Does it mean I should then visit two of the remaining ones to get these award points. Actually I have visited with AY all of these destinations since June 2014. That time I was collecting miles to AA program...

I thought the same. I've flown to all Nordic countries except Iceland since summer 2014 with Finnair. Yet the campaign page claims I haven't been to Copenhagen (false) and Reykjavik (true).
