15000€ spend and must be own money and flights only for pleasure. Corporate travelling not counted.
Pure MR gives +50% tier. Escort service in Delhi and massage in Bangkok for MR's.

Ha, sure.
But i'd really curious to know at the moment among AY plats, how many % actually qualified by segments (though 76legs is quite reachable)

As a thought here, unless you are stuck in Oulu or Kuopio, any where you go, you have to +1 leg to HEL.
Otherwise with 150 legs, i'd really optimise my routes to get AY plat and EBD.

Probably more than we think. There are hoards of Plats flying HEL-ARN or HEL-OUL very frequently.

LoL, for me OW simply doesn't cover enough destinations. Eg China domestic is pretty much Skyteam, though there is rumour that China Southern(CZ) may join OW. which is good for me.
Same with few other eastern european destinations I go frequently.

If I were AY, I would have quite different criteria for this supertier. Forget segments, points, whatever and stop to think what kind of FFs you want to award with your highest status.

Perhaps a certain number of paid longhaul J flights? Currently, you earn Platinum after only eight longhaul J segments or four roundtrips. Lumo, maybe 20 longhaul J segments?

Thenagain, what to offer to Lumos. BA has CCR, does Luftwaffe let highest tier to First terminal? In Helsinki there is nothing extra right now except VIP track which I think is Finavia service,or using private flight terminal and direct car delivery to plane. But in essence, there should be something to offer in return, without taking benefits away from lower tiers.

And copying BA, GGl is just the lower level nobility, CCR-card holders are above that-> what after Lumo?

I qualify to plat using segments. This year I won’t ve anywhere near the point limit. Currently have 61 flights, 86k status points and period ends end of April. I should reach roughly 80 flights.

Personally I would hope Lumo becomes similar as SK Pandion, with ”secret” qualification criteria, by invitation only, probably based on spend. I won’t make it, but then AY can better control the number of members and keep the perks at an appropriate level.

The fact that they list both points and legs to Lumo indicates that you could could qualify with either.

At AY they could offer for Lumo extra elite qualifying miles, a few extra vouchers or similar, an extra guest into the lounge with access on arrival (better yet regardless of carrier), give away Plat card. Just some ideas of what to provide to the highest members

And yes, HON gets access to the FCT

Isn't Platinum VIP the secret invitation only?

Or it could be a glitch from AY IT.

Afaik it has same benefits as normal platinum, it just given for important people

At least lounge access and baggage thresholds are the same (I've seen the laminated lists in desks).

- Complimentary same-day confirmed change of flights or Complimentary same-day stand-by
- Complimentary upgrade on Euro flights if there's availability at check-in
- More LH vouchers
- More points
- Lounge access at HEL regardless of carrier (fly KL, enter AY lounge)
- Complimentary snack from Skybistro menu in Y as well as complimentary unlimited drinks
- Chauffeur service from home/work to airport and viceversa in HEL when travelling lonhaul J

I can think of many perks that would be useful for someone who flies a lot, and some of them would cost AY very little but add a lot of extra value.

Up until now, the 36 month expiry worked exacly like this for plats. Once degraded to gold, points would expire 36 months after earned.
Yes and no. It would be a degration if you are Platinum Lifetime. If you keep renewing Platinum, it is also a degration in the corner case that you renew during the first 1-5 months (or less) of qualifying period, then have no activity for 18 months straight, and then requalify on whatever the remaining few months of the new qualifying period. It could be something that Finnair has not even considered though.

Perhaps even seat guarantee in business for long haul flights
