When does check in open at JFK for AY6?
 
I would assume 3 hrs prior but can't find for sure. Need to conduct business with Travelex airside and get some lounge time in. A little help please.

Yes, based on my latest experiences, they seem to open 14:05 punctually, i.e. not 3 hours or 4 hours before STD 17:40 as erroneously written in many other places.
I have mistakenly 2 times come to Terminal 8 earlier than 2pm "just in case" but always had to wait.

I was there 4:33 last time. They close 1h before, not T-45 as I'd hoped.

This has changed, then. I'm usually there about 1.5 hours before, and there is never any line at that time. I once asked when they close and the answer was "about 40 min before the flight". But this was in the old days, when the counters were AY-staffed.
