Interline question
Posting here as it concerns a BA ticket, even if I'm not going to actually have any interaction with BA during the trip :)
In a couple of weeks, I be flying LHR-HEL-CPH on AY (but under BA codeshares on 125- stock) then CPH-TXL on AB on a separate AB ticket. The AY/BA flight is scheduled to arrive into CPH at 18:25 and the AB flight to depart at 19:40, hence a connection time of 1:15. What do you think my chances are of getting the Finnair ground agent at T3 to interline my bag all the way through to Berlin ? Conversely, if they won't play ball, do you think it's doable to collect the bag in CPH and recheck for TXL ? Thanks in advance ! P.S. Note to self: really must stop booking these optimistic routings  |
NEVER EVER count on interlining to work between separate tickets. That is the basic rule to not get into trouble.
Now, since it is OW to OW, I believe you should be OK, but that still relies on the agent knowing the rules which I would not count on. If you can't get your bag checked, it will be a bit tight, but you should still be OK to go get your bag and recheck it at CPH. |

In theory, this should be possible as both oneworld tickets. Hope it works out for you.

Finnair – OW – AY
From AY's website: Through check-in of passengers and baggage Finnair takes care of the through check-in of all passengers transferring onto a connecting flight if that flight is operated by Finnair or a oneworld partner. If you have a connecting flight operated by another airline, the through check-in process may differ – ask at a check-in desk when you reach your transfer airport. If the ticket for your connecting flight has been issued as a separate ticket, Finnair cannot be held liable for lost connections caused by a delay or cancellation of a Finnair flight. When baggage is not checked through for a connecting flight, it is delivered to the baggage claim area. You must collect your baggage and check it in for your connecting flight. |

As for the 'conversly' part:
AY lands a the far end of A-gates and it is quite a walk to baggage claim. 10 minutes Baggage delivery is hit&miss at CPH so another 10-20 minutes. Then you need to make your way back to low-cost check in terminal, to drop bag, another 5-10 minutes. Drop bag might be quick or not. Don't count on AB having a business/prio check in desk. Security is close by, but don't count on AB boarding pass working in the fast track. 5-10 minutes. Then back to A-gates, 5 minutes. |
Btw, AB closes check-in T-45minutes so your 1:15 is only 0:30
