Your explanation makes sense...it was a JL ticket (but AY metal and code) which probably caused the hickup.

This table is weird I could swear under oath that LHR was 1825 and MAD 2950. I also recall ZRH being 1779. Why is everything suddenly 12 km too long?
The German flat 2000 derives from an ancient cooperation between AY, LH and DL. Now all three are in different alliances...

I had to dig deep - it seems I pulled that table of the site in 2010 or earlier.
But looking back to my own account in that period I have no flights matching the table so I cannot verify if it indeed is correct.
But with 1km off from your memory it may be that the published table had a rounding error.

I can verify the longhaul part of the same table to the exact point for HKG, BKK, NRT during 2009 and early 2010.
However ICN, HKG, NRT late 2010 does not match this table, earned points are off by a few. So I'd say the revised the table mid 2010 and perhaps your memory is from that period?

HEL-AMS was 1521 points long into the 2000's. Can't remember when that was changed to the flat 2000 points earning.
HEL-ZRH used to be 1780 and HEL-LHR 1825 points.
