I patiently explained to her why I had a very good seat

She had friends in my row, so understandable as such and if she had asked me to move from 11C to 11D, that wouldn’t have been a problem. Did it for Esko Salminen once.

Interesting kindergarten flight to LIS. The cabin smells of baby s**t most of the time. I wonder if they change diapers on the seats instead of in the lavatory. Also, a lot of foot traffic as crying babies apparently need to be dragged along the aisle, back and forth, so that everyone gets their share of the music. Also, I keep hearing very strong hissing sounds so there must be a threatened snake tagging along, back and forth, in the aisle.

Add to this some agitated Portuguese lady that shouts for respect, a Swedish lady that wanted me to move from my exit row aisle to 22F (yeah, sure!) and a kid playing on his phone with full sound on, and you pretty much get the feel of the ambiance on board.

It’s a long flight today, 4 hours and 45 minutes. But at least it’s AY-operated, and the friendly purser even gave me a Plat talk. Smoothie was good, too. But if I want to continue my fetish of visiting former Portuguese colonies, I think I will resort to TK next time. Unfortunately, they don’t fly to TMS (São Tomé), so I don’t have much choice today. Also, 30.000 points + 35 EUR is a bargain for a ticket that AY originally wanted some 500 EUR for, and that was selling for 800+ EUR a week ago. There are four empty seats on this plane.

I liked the guy a lot.

Wife and daughter ordered pizzas but couldnt finish them so I asked for a cartonbox. Don said: you need to teach them eat.

Great service
I love vöner, and order it a lot. Granted, it isn't kebap - it has more of a mushroom taste to it.

Yeah, to Macao I flew AY to BKK, CX to HKG and took a ferry.

To Rio de Janeiro it was BA.

To Praia, I flew AY to LPA and then Binter Canarias.

To Dili, I flew AY to SIN and Silkair (charter, sold by something called Air Timor, I believe).

To Bissau, I flew AY to LIS and then TAP.

I'm eyeing Maputo next, and TK flies there. But let's get to São Tomé first!

After the infamous OMAAT review, I think I'll be better off with TK (if I get a visa in the first place...).

The 88 eur HEL-BER returns were fun. The grid shows HEL-BER Eco Light prices for next week (insofar as they're still honoured on the final page).

Perfect, 75 of those for Lumo!
That should put the value back in the top tier (for Finnair, that is)!

The same as those 110 eur LHR returns, and 33 eur HEL-MUC and 67 eur MUC-HEL one-ways. What's a little 200+ eur cartel PCR when you can get AY tickets like that...
