I'm looking for a nice European same-day turnaround destination netting 3000 (x 3) x2 = 18k points in full Y. Departing from HEL, travelling sometime in October.
Any recommendations? Are there any destinations to be had for <300€ in Y Flex?

I did this in May this year. No issues at all - it was also confirmed by CS that you can leave your bags even in the evening before. Had about the same situation than you except i took a SK flight to ARN - just asked the Plat check-in to check it for AY5 only. He didn't actually see my ARN leg at all in his screen at first as he only handed me BP for HEL-JFK - had to ask a printout of ARN-HEL leg as well which required some typing
My back-up plan would have been to bring bags back to car park and then get them again when arriving back from ARN (there was a ~2,5 hour connection at HEL).

AY(plat) domestic to US 50250 return - 157050 with these tickets (J Flex). Three times that and there shines the LUMO. (OT: cabin personnel have been quite amused about asking about the LUMOhood every once in a while, and of course willing to offer at least in Biz class any extra services such as booze (anyhow still noticed the difference as lowly plat + proper tickets for me). But DEFINITELY, grab this offer!

Hey ALL!
Want to say thank you very very much for all the advice and inputs. Truly Appreciated.
I may have gone bananas, despite NOT having travelled since early 2020, I have yesterday and today booked FIVE mileage runs from either Bangkok or Singapore to DFW, JFK and ORD... so yeah gonna have 20 long haul flights for the runs alone before December.
and that is in addition to another 2 trips, not pure runs, but still booked with AY for a grand total of 7 AY Long Haul Itineraries...so if the AY revenue team is taking note...yes the 3x tier & award mileage promo definitely got this member flying again

Im planning some flights with AY to get BA status. Ill be traveling on a non-EU passport (UK specifically) to various EU destinations with AY on short connections/immediate turnarounds. Looks like these should be okay given the info in the wiki above but can someone critique them for potential problems? Wont buy the tickets until I get a sense from those more experienced here about if itd be okay.
Arriving / Destination / from Origin / Departing / to Destination2 / Tickets
arr 1615 ARN from HEL dep 1655 to HEL different tickets (AY813; AY814)
arr 0025 AGP from HEL dep 0115 to HEL on same ticket
arr 0745 ARN from HEL dep 0825 to HEL different tickets (AY801; AY802)
arr 1635 OSL from HEL dep 1715 to HEL different tickets (AY915; AY916)
Some of these connections are tight I know but I wonder if Id be able to get boarding passes for the onward flights beforehand from airport from which Im taking the outbound segment or even at the beginning of the outbound itinerary? If Im not passing through immigration even as a non-EU (UK) passport will that matter?
Also, if I can get a travel agent to plate/tickets all these flights on one PNR will that protect my connections better (even if the tickets are separate tickets?)

salut0 as long as the check-in is already open for your return flight, you can get your boarding pass, no problem. (I have had boarding pass printed for me for the DEL-HEL segment, already at HEL, before leaving to DEL)

Hi, I booked segment run HEL-OSL-HEL-VAA-HEL. This will be my first (hopefully short) visit to OSL (AY911/AY912).
I checked WIKI and OSL should be safe for turnaround. Hoping gate arrival and try seat as front as possible? Any other tips or comments?
Thanks.

In VAA, sit far back since it is most likely ATR. Get out and walk cross the check-in hall app 20 meters and clear security. Shouldn't be any line to security since most of other boarding pax has already gone through at the time you arrive. You will be at the gate before last pax has deboarded.
