AY's been limiting access during the renovation for BA flights unless it's BA795 in the morning.

I have a long layover on the 27th. I thought about heading into town or getting a room at the Hilton, but then I remembered the new lounge is supposed to open on the 26th! I will look forward to reporting back.

.. and the thread Transiting in HEL - Devilishly difficult or seraphically simple? states (in the sticky at the top):
Finnair Premium Lounge in the non-Schengen area opposite gate 50.
Access: oneWorld Emeralds or AY Sapphire with any oneWorld ticket. Other Sapphires can access the Premium Lounge during non-peak hours.
October 2018 - April 2019: Lounge closed

BD

You can also use AY lounge if it is morning or night flight (304 and 308). For QR 302, only Aspire.

I'll have QR308, so tough choice. Neither options are very interesting (I'l fly before the new Plat Wing opens) Maybe I just make use for a nearly final time of DC and almost@home.

When is Plaza Premium opening anyway? I thought they'd said early March but now I'm not sure.

when I was there a week ago the kitchen is now open so a reasonable selection of hot food on real plates. But only the non-premium lounge is open and the same capacity rules (AY flights only) still applied with the large poster for JAL passengers explaining about their voucher due to no admittance for anyone on JAL on display next to the door. I was in the lounge at 13:00 and even then it was really busy.
If you look up at the signs to the gates when walking towards the lounge they have signposted a much longer route (passing by the new transit security) so I suspect there will be some closing of corridors and more shops (or perhaps ikea style maze that makes you walk 200m to actually travel 50m forwards).
