Current and historical promotions

This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.

The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.

Feel free to discuss alterations to the format in the thread below.

Do not delete historical posts.

Yeo shows up as OWS they even sent me an email from AY saying that as a OWS member my privilages included the free seat selection but AY IT

AY is the only airline I have found that seems to often ask for the physical card when accessing lounge in TLL and HEL was asked for card even though BP had lounge invotation for 2persons on it? Odd

Weird. I've never been asked for my card at HEL (and HEL never even looks at your guests BP which is kind of odd).
In TLL they did ask for it, but the only thing you need to remember of it is the number and the expiration date. They can manually enter that to the system and then let you in to the wonderful Nordea lounge...

I haven't been carded very often - I remember almost begging for access at ZRH - one of my most memorable lounge experiences in a while. I had forgotten my card home and the lounge dragon wasn't having it. She finally let in to my undeniable charm.

minutes before I exited the lounge the 2 dragons started singing along the song playing on the system - they both turned fire engine red when I walked out, complimented them on their singing and promised to be back. The embarrassed laughter continued for minutes

Sadly, I haven't been back in ZRH since!

TLL is contract lounge, AFAIK - and they also want to see the BAEC card, too - not AY specific

I could see that without a BP that says Lounge invitation for 2 people I would assume that if the BP says welcome to nordea lounge that would be enough

There seems to be a +30% bonus when buying points.

"Transactions must be completed between 24 February (00:00:01 EEST) and 28 March (23:59:59 EEST), 2014"

Buying the points to upgrade say a shorthaul flight comes in at 100€ per way or 500€ for longhaul... Personally I dont find that too appealing

If the ean another 5000pt upgrade offer I would spend the money but not at these prices YMMV

My family needs extra 31.000 points to reach 150.000 so I can upgrade them HEL-HKG (return). I intend to buy the points.

It can work out for upgrading, but for me the value is not there at those prices but for a family vacation I can see it
