Best Y-seats in A340?

I booked some Stockmann "Crazy Days" tickets to HKG last week and just got the e-tickets to my mail. I checked the seat maps for our flights and they seem to be wide open for both ways (we are flying in October). As we are four persons traveling together, the exit seats 41AC and 41JL would be one option, but it's bit annoying to be on different sides of the cabin. Other option would be bulkhead row 21, seat AC and DE. But I have no idea, how is the leg space on this row, apparently there is a wall in front of you. Any ideas/thoughts from you, AY FF's on Flyertalk? Thanks in advance!

Can't really advice properly as I never been in Y on this route, but in general terms I would say that:

Row 21 could be OK because there will be very little foot traffic in this part of the cabin. But as they are bassinet seats for Y cabin, I am not sure they will be easy to book if you are not travelling with infants yourself. Also, if there are infants onboard, they will be seated next to you. That may or may not be something to consider.

If exit row is available, I suggest you go for that instead. As you are OW emerald, you should be able to reserve seat in advance free of charge. It is "first come, first serve" when it comes to seat selection among AY and OW elites, ie no pecking order.

I'd go for 41, for the reasons intuition mentioned. In 21 people traveling with babies will have priority. 41 has plenty of leg space. I am flying HEL-NRT-HEL in two weeks' time. Booked in Y, my upgrade HEL-NRT is still to go through (although I am the first in line, I was told). I selected 41L.

All factors considered I'd still go for 22 D & H. Decent legroom and among the first Y pax to get off the metal tube. Not adjacent seats though. Pitch on row 21 is not sufficient, can be quite unpleasant.
