Favourite Fairmont Suite Redemption

So it seems that after 2018 it'll be difficult to get a guaranteed suite upgrade. I was wondering what everyone favorite or "best" suite upgrade they received was. Please list Room type and Hotel.

A Junior Casita Suite at the Scottsdale Princess.
An included bonus was that the TV was a Smart TV so I was able to access my Netflix account and watch movies without incurring a fee which some hotels charge for movies.

I can list almost every single suite at Banff Springs Hotel except the penthouse. I wish I remembered them all. One that sticks out is the huge one bedroom suite with a bar in it overlooking the river. I think it is X09/X11 combination. There are some very cool and unique suites in this hotel, and the VIP Concierge have always treated me very well here with suite upgrades.

1. Turret Suite at the Banff Springs - the room itself isn't the biggest or best in the hotel but just the uniqueness of being at the top of the castle, the spiral staircase up to the bedroom, and of course the views up there made it pretty memorable.
2. Jasper Suite at the Chateau Whistler - this was actually a surprise, was confirmed in a normal one bedroom but was redirected to the Gold Floor check-in when I arrived.
3. Lake view suite at Le Montreux Palace

There were many others, but those are the first three that came to mind.

My favorite was Riviera Suite in Monaco. Other especially memorable ones were the Signature Suite at Mount Kenya and a Deluxe Suite in Bali.

For Gold floors, my favorite was the Fairmont Peace. My second choice was the Fairmont Beijing.

Frontenac suite is like that at the Chateau Frontenac, curved walls are neat and great view on the river.

I think this is still my favourite use of an upgrade certificate, at the Chateau Lake Louise...

Two different occasions:

1. Two free night cert with a suite upgrade stacked at the Grand delMar. Amazing property. Search this forum for my review. Basically, $3000 stay for free, but I spent $2500 on property. :D

2. Fairmont Princess Scottsdale: Upgrade to Gold+Suite for 2 nights. Wonderful experience. Excellent Spa. Awesome Gold Lounge staff.

My next stay will be in Boston with another Gold + Suite upgrade later this month. The Copley Plaza is the Fairmont I know best, having stayed there > 50 times in the past 25 years.

Checked into this suite last night on a suite upgrade certificate. . It’s pretty cool for a short stay.

Same experience here. Are you thinking of the Rungeous Suite on the sixth floor? We've been in there a couple of times (and the one across the hall without, of course, the river view). Also been in one of the honeymoon (turret suites), the suite right above the Rundle Lounge with all the glass in the living room, and the one that's about as long as bowling alley up on nine. Still working on getting into the Presidential Suite and may have to turn up the heat now that the program is dying a slow, painful death.

I LOVED my lake view suite in Montreux.

I had one of those suites too; also one of my better certificate redemptions (upgrade and free night certs). Here's the view from our balcony in the morning.

As a regular user of the Suite upgrades at Banff Springs I will miss the uniqueness of the various suites I have been assigned over the years. Hoping to get back to the big Island one last time before FPC R.I.P.

Nice to see that Montreux photo!! Am considering that combo in January.

My favourite was the Singapore upgrades to penthouse - managed it more than once. Fleeting happy memories now. :(

Most of the time I am travelling solo so the suite upgrade is overkill, however I will miss the option and other benefits.
