Fairmont Del Mar (San Diego) to Las Vegas by car - practical driving time
We plan to stay at this Fairmont this coming Jan.
We will rent a car. My wife and I can drive; we will also have our 21 yr old daughter.
I am a FPC Platinum member, so I would get early check-in (maybe noon), and late check-out (maybe 4 pm).
Around Wed Jan 3, we will leave (shortly after 10 am) and plan to drive to the Fairmont. What time should we arrive? Our resort is the Westgate Resort and Casino (site of the old LV Hilton) - next to the convention centre (center).
Around Sat Jan 6, we plan to leave the Fairmont maybe around 4 pm (but we can leave earlier). I am thinking of taking an AC flight from Las Vegas airport a few minutes after midnight (i.e. leaving on Jan 7, but barely into that Sunday). So I would have to return the car, check in our bags, and then we want to enjoy the AMEX Centurion lounge for at least 1 hour, before it closes at 11 pm.

I cant figure out from the post when you plan to drive in what direction but i can assure you that the contrast between fairmont del mar and westgate will be quite astonishing..
Normally midweek its about 5 hr drive - flying is much easier imo..
