Yes, no problem at all to pay with GCs.

They could still have a popup sale before then. At least I'm hoping...

Would love another flash sale within the next 30 days, but my guess is November at the earliest.

I have a prepaid reservation for Fairmont Washington DC.
Does anybody know if it's possible to pay with a GC at checkout and have them revert the charge on my CC?

I've done this at several properties. I've not had a hotel refuse to do this, but I've also never stayed at the DC property. I would send an e-mail to the hotel asking if this is possible, and if they reply in the affirmative, bring a copy of it with you.

One thing to be mindful of, is currency exchange. The hotel is going to charge you in USD and then refund you in USD. If your credit card is based in a different currency, you can expect to lose a bit on the exchange conversion. Most credit cards are going to have a spread of a few points between the buy and sell exchange rate.

I'm pretty sure I did this here without problem a year or so ago. I believe I phoned in advance to see if it was possible.
