Based on your various posts, I assume you obtained FPC Plat status via a promo code you weren't entitled to use?

If so, no offence, but this isn't the right forum for you.

Nobody is entitled to any promotion, Fairmont and its partners can end a promo any time for any reason.

I have an AmEx Platinum card. It makes me eligible for FPC Platinum after 5 nights only.

There have been several reports of delays etc. I'd recommend contacting FPC.

I've gone for Suite Upgrade and $100 in spa/dining certs.

I've gotten tremendous value with the Suite upgrades at every Fairmont property where I have used them.

Even when Suite upgrades were not available, the properties were able to offer wanted accommodations for a reasonable up charge.

I recently used two suite upgrades to get a higher-end suite instead of a junior suite. However, the suite ended up not being available for my stay due to maintenance work. So I ended up in a junior suite and I was able to get free buffet breakfast as a compensation, and only one upgrade certificate was used.

Finally called FPC. They said that some people who selected their benefits on Mar 1 may not have got the gift card because the website wasn't fully set up. Agent thanked me for calling and said it should go out in the next week or 2.

So anyone still waiting should give them a call.

Suppose I qualify early this year, I would get one set of certificates for 2017 and another for 2018. Would I also be eligible for the Passion benefits on both years?

Yes, and no. If you qualify early, you would normally get a set of certificates for this and next year. The problem is that current speculation is that the FPC will not exist in 2018, as Accor changes (or kills off) the program to merge with the rest of their brands. Whether your early qualification carries over into the new Accor program next year is anyone's guess. If the new program is anything like the current Accor program, you can expect a nice lump of coal in your stocking at the start of the new year.

Regarding the Passion benefits, they are not given to people who qualify early. That would come at the start of the next program year, which, as mentioned, may not even exist.
