So were these bought at 20% rebate during the previous sale and now being resold at -12.5%? 
Make sure you register your GCs online with Fairmont so you can claim refund/replacement or detect prior registration/claim!

Dmodemd, perhaps people bought them back then or at the 20% bonus which = 16.67% discount on Black Friday, then did not need them. But GCZ is a reseller, so they buy them at a bigger discount than 12.5%, then sell them at a profit.
