My wife and I have been enrolled in touchless ID on AA, as well as on UA, AS, and DL. On UA, it has worked very reliably. Not so, AA. The big glitch (we have heard this, too, on other boards like thePointsguy), is when AA flyers are on the same PNR. Don't ask me why. One flier gets it, the other doesn't, even though both are enrolled. I've experienced it twice myself. Once, it cost us an extra hour for my spouse to get through security because she was denied touchless in the checkin process, even though we showed evidence that we were enrolled (wife's card didn't have the emblem, hence she was denied).
We did try the remedy suggested by a PointsGuy pax who said that checking in separately worked, but that wasn't the case for us. So, we book UA whenever flying through ORD and JFK per our experience problems, so as not to get delayed.
To be sure, everyone I know has raved about contactless/touchless ID, myself included. I have complained to AA customer service about it when my wife was denied, and they responded sympathetically. They said they would be discussing it at their troubleshooting meetings (didn't know they did that ), but I'm waiting to see if they'll get it done for our flights. Booking other carriers for selected flights in the meantime, especially flights that require checkin at JFK and ORD.
Wonder what experiences others may have had. Hoping this glitch gets fixed

Husband and I had American Airlines One World award tickets from Tashkent to Tampa on May 2, 2026. The first flight was to be from Tashkent to Doha on Qatar, and the flight was cancelled about three weeks ago. Ergo, we cancelled the entire trip.

I have been trying to get a "Travel Certificate" from Qatar to give to my trip insurance provider in order to get reimbursed for about $285 in nonrefundable deposits. I asked AA, and they said to contact Qatar. I filled out the "get Travel Certificate" form on the Qatar website, but it said "something went wrong." I have written and called Qatar several times, and everyone keeps saying try again later.

Does anyone have a suggestions about how I can get the Travel Certificate? The trip insurer will not pay on the claim without the certificate. Thank you!
I got to my seat (10A) and yep, no window in the window seat. No mention of it when booking either.
Likelihood of getting anything from SWA for it? I specifically booked a window as I'm slightly claustrophobia and it seems to help with that.
Thanks
Just finished doing a bit of research and no where can I find anyplace that they call any of the window seats "window seats." Maybe I'm out of luck. And they don't describe aisle or middle seats that as well. Interesting.

I've run a dozen or more searches, from my home network in Spain, and also VPN'd to Germany; in Chrome and in Edge browsers; logged in to my AAdvantage account and logged out, trying to find mileage award flights from Hamburg to a variety of places on the planet (various Caribbean destinations, various cities in Japan), and the searches always only turn up 1. Main cabin (despite that I selected Business), and (usually) 2. extremely long itineraries (30+ hours).
Searching for cash tickets instead of mileage, shorter itineraries, and business class seats are available.
I could understand if award tickets weren't yet available (most of my searches were for late September) or were sold out (I also tried a few close-in searches just to see what would happen), but these results suggest something other than "no capacity in your selected class", rather, "AA I.T."?
How does one find business class award capacity within OneWorld using AA miles?
thanks,

However, can only get ba.com to show one flight for that day, on a 06.20hrs departure.

Could this mean the flight is full and no longer available, in any class? I looked at the previous Sunday, and it's offered on that date.

Or is BA removing certain flights for sale which they plan to cancel imminently, to save fuel?!

Any ideas? Really want my two colleagues to travel together!

Hi everyone!

I manage 15 cards for our household (partner doesn't care), including some premium high-AF cards like Amex Platinum. It has been my hobby to take advantage of credits, points and SUBs. However, it gradually became a part-time job when our cards reached over 10.

Because I don't want to create a "new system" to maintain, I've never been interested in the card management apps out there.

I have been using calendar reminders to keep up with expiring credits and SUB deadlines, but I never had a full picture of which card gives me the best earn rate at where. So, I thought it would be great if a tool could send me a brief every 1st of the month that tells me which card to use, expiring credits, along with a calendar reminder - native in your existing phone apps and no need to create a new system to maintain

So I built a free tool called PerkPerks.Club that does exactly that. On the 1st of every month, an email tells you:
- Expiring credits + usage instructions
- Which card to pull out where
- SUB spend deadline

It's been live for a few weeks and is getting good feedback, but I want input from people who actually manage a serious portfolio.

It covers 130+ popular U.S. personal and business cards. Email and optional calendar reminder format so work for all phone systems (Android users, I hear you)

Takes 30 seconds to set up by just 1) selecting the cards you own and 2) points usage preference, then signing up with your email. It doesn't collect any other personal info or financial info (no bank login, no card numbers).

The site URL is "PerkPerks.Club", or you can search "PerkPerks.Club" to find it.

Besides the main functions, it also supports:
- Multiple number of one card products (i.e., 2 Amex platinum, you can label each with a nickname to differentiate)
- Card open date input, to get reminded of credits that expire on anniversary date
- Self-defined value per point

If this sounds interesting, please give it a try! It's 100% free with no hidden paid tiers. I have my ears wide open for any feedback :)

Last q, what's actually missing from how you manage your credit card benefits today?

One, or two of my 17 year old twins will be flying with us LHR-LAS then SAN-LHR in July. Mrs DrB and I are flying CW with a 2-4-1 on avios. Neither my wallet nor my avios stretch to a 3rd or 4th CW, so the plan is to fly them (singular or plural) in WT. They won't need to check in bags, as we get 2x32kg in CW.

So... once at the airport, should we all 3 (or 4) just pitch up at the CW checkin?

And if it is just the one of them, what's the chance of her getting bumped upwards? Or even coming and seeing us, once we've turned left?

I know. We're awful parents. They are aware and happy with the situation, though. And I'm just a Blue club member.

As for the 1 or 2; one of them has been accepted into the RAF; but they won't tell either of us when she starts. Could be any time from April - September.

What would you do? (Apart from buy them a better seat...)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to book myself a one-way from somewhere in Southeast Asia to Los Angeles this August. I've been looking at many airlines and alliances and the overall trend seems to be that availability is very, very sparse. I've been poking around with EVA Air's search tool and I noticed when I search on their website it actually seems to provide ample options. For example, I was looking at HAN-LAX on August 18 and it gave me over a dozen itineraries including some entirely on BR through TPE and others on *A partners like through ICN on OZ, through PVG on CA and UA, through SZX on ZH and CA, etc. I'm kind of skeptical whether this actually represents real award space or just itinerary options regardless of whether any actual seats are open. For the itineraries exclusively on BR, if I search through BR's own EVA/UNI Air redemption link all flights show up as waitlists, and if I search for the other options they give such as on OZ, CA, UA, etc. on another website like MileagePlus or Aeroplan I don't see those listed flights available. Before I commit to transferring over a large amount of points from my credit card I want to make sure that if EVA lists an itinerary whether it's actually bookable. Anyone have any experience or insight with this?
