My wife and I are looking at a purchasing two intra-Europe business class flight tickets, at about $500 each through Capital One Travel. We'd do so because for this particular route and day economy is not much cheaper, Cap One is actually offering the best price and we'd apply my $300 Venture X travel credit.

One option that pops up at the Capitol One Travel site is a "Flight disruption assistance" option for an additional $70 per person. It comes with Cap One rebooking tickets up to $5,000 if our flight is canceled or delayed over two hours.

I tend to be pretty skeptical about such things, but would welcome learning about anyone else's experience and/or perspective on this. Anyone actually used this and found it helpful?

Thanks for any advice.

I’m planning to use my Capital One Spark Miles to cover an airfare purchase, but my credit limit is too low for the full ticket price. If I use PayPal’s split-payment feature to put the bulk of the charge on my Spark card and the remainder on another, will the Spark portion still code as 'Travel'? I want to ensure I can still redeem my miles at 1cpp for the transaction
