I shall be flying Doha–Seattle in mid-November, en route to Denver, arriving in SEA at 11:40. There is a 15:51 flight to DEN on UA I am considering, as I don't want get into DEN too late at night, or 16:40 flight on AS, both on a separate ticket. I suppose that the latter should be relatively safe, though I would prefer the former, but you never know with QR, who tend to make frequent changes to the flight timings. I will have checked luggage and no Global Entry, and I'm not a US citizen.

At any rate, my dilemma is whether I should try to connect to DEN that same afternoon, and save the hassle of leaving the airport, getting a hotel, etc., just for one night, or perhaps it would be less stressful just to bite the bullet, go to a hotel, perhaps have a nice dinner—recommendations welcome on both of these—and then return to the airport the next day to fly to Denver, arriving at a sensible hour of the day.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated. I suppose I am weighing the hassle of spending the night in Seattle vs. the risk of misconnecting and the need to arrive in Denver late at night. What would you do in my position? Thanks in advance.

PDX: is 1hr 10min international to domestic possible on two bookings?

I have KLM AMS-PDX flight booked while I need to end up at SEA. The KLM lands at 11:10am. I'm flying to SEA so I'll book a separate ticket.

I'm not sure which flight to pick:

12:20pm Delta (1hr 10min connection, I can probably internline the bag with KLM so I just drop it off after going through customers instead of going to check-in counters, which would make two bookings a non-issue)
2:30pm Alaska
3:30pm Delta

I'm a US citizen and I have Global Entry/TSA Pre/Clear. I will have one checked bag.

I can book the second flight using miles which are free to cancel. But, modifying them on the day of the flight would probably cost a lot of miles. Currently, they are at only 6k miles. I don't think I can book multiple flights on the same airline without one getting canceled due to breaking T&C, but I can book both Delta 12:20pm and Alaska 2:30pm.
