Hi Lifemiles enthusiasts,

Pretty new to using lifemiles. Noticed an inconsistency in the miles cost of Lifemiles awards and seeking some feedback, as I plan on redeeming the more expensive route quite often.

Hi Lifemiles enthusiasts,

Pretty new to using lifemiles. Noticed an inconsistency in the miles cost of Lifemiles awards and seeking some feedback, as I plan on redeeming the more expensive route quite often.

SDJ - MNL (Connecting in TPE): 22,500 lifemiles + taxes
KIX - MNL (Connecting in HND): 22,500 lifemiles + taxes
KIX - MNL (Connecting in TPE) 52,250 lifemiles + taxes

I would have thought that since they are all Japan to Philippines awards (all with short connections), they should all be the same price?

Most of you will already be familiar with these codes and what countries the airport is located in. But for those that aren't:
SDJ = Sendai (Japan)
TPE = Taiwan
KIX = Osaka (Japan)
MNL = Manila (Philippines)
I have flown there a couple of times many years ago and also changed planes there once (but had to wait in a lunge). So essentially, I have no knowledge and would appreciate your insight.

I’m trying to purchase a Lifemiles+ subscription on avianca.com and the credit card keeps getting rejected (I always get one of the two error codes shown in the screenshots) At first I only saw this with one credit card, but then I tried to make a booking with a debit card that I had already used before to buy points, and now the payment didn’t go through either.
Is there anything that can be done here? Can you call them and have them send you a payment link (for either the subscription, or the flight booking, or both), or is that only possible for the booking and not for the Lifemiles+ subscription? Does anyone know more about how this works in practice?

thanks
