I need to decide whether to renew DD at full price or wait for the next discount deal. I suppose I will just renew if Frontier's schedule is usable and their operation does not disappoint me too badly.

Has Frontier basically doubled their cheapest fares?

With a failing business model, new CEO and sky-high war-related fuel costs, I'm not surprised that Frontier has seemingly eliminated all their crazy $19 and $29 fares. $29 seems to have been replaced by $79. Is anyone seeing any fares that resemble the old discounts?

My sense is the majors have also jacked up their fares to cover their much higher fuel costs. I think one of the analysts said fares were up about 20%, but from what I've seen, some of the cheaper buckets are up more like 40%.

So Frontier will still be cheaper than the majors -- but not materially so if you need a regular carry-on. And, I presume, Frontier transports a lot of very price sensitive customers, some of whom will undoubtedly see these fares and cut back on their discretionary travel. Heck, I'll be cutting down of my discretionary travel. At $29, it didn't take much of a reason for me to get on a Frontier plane.

I guess we'll have to wait for their next quarterly earnings report to see how well this strategy performs. I'd be concerned that their emphasis on larger planes -- they cram 240 pax on their 321 neos -- means that they'll be competing against themselves to fill these aircraft. Maybe this will help those who buy the summer Go Wild pass.

This seems like an excellent promo to sign up for if you're going to fly Frontier in the next several months. You basically fly a roundtrip, and they give you 5000 points. That's often enough for a free one-way ticket. You can do it 4 times through August.
https://www.flyfrontier.com/earn-up-...s/?mobile=true

I'm wondering if the trip has to be BOOKED as a roundtrip. I never do that, as it's easier to make changes with separate reservations. I don't think there's any way to know except trial and error. I guess it would be wise to book roundtrips for awhile.

Frontier Go Wild Pass Tracker: What I Learned After Real Use With Routes Availability

When I first started using the Frontier GoWild! Pass, I honestly expected it to behave like a normal flight booking system.

But the first few times I searched for Frontier Go Wild Pass flights, I kept getting results that made no sense:

sometimes nothing showed up

sometimes routes appeared randomly

sometimes availability changed within hours

At that point, it felt inconsistent.

The confusion mostly comes from how people search
When I used narrow inputs, like a single airport or fixed date, I often saw what looked like no flights situations.

But once I widened my search behavior, I started noticing structure in what I thought was random.

That's also when I started using a broader way to compare options instead of checking one route at a time. Something like GoPassFlights.com helped me visualize multiple possibilities together instead of guessing manually.

That made frontier go wild pass availability patterns much easier to understand in real usage.

What actually changes the results
From my experience, a few things matter a lot:

routes are not fixed; they shift based on timing

hubs behave differently depending on demand

flight routes only appear under certain search conditions

what looks like missing flights is often filtered visibility, not absence

Even the go wild pass blackout days started making more sense once I stopped checking isolated dates and started looking at broader patterns over time.

How I started understanding it properly
I started thinking of it like a system where availability is constantly changing.

That’s when the idea of a frontier go wild pass tracker mindset helped me, not tracking flights directly, but tracking how results behave under different searches.

I use GoPassFlights.com occasionally to compare results across routes when manual searching becomes harder to interpret.

Final takeaway
The biggest misunderstanding is assuming the system is static.

Once I understood what it actually behaves like in real use, everything became clearer.

It’s not about missing flights. It’s about how visibility changes based on search behavior.

On flight 3393 SLC to SFO on 4/13/2026.

Initial delay due to incoming aircraft. We leave the gate. Pilot explains we have to go back to have engine checked for maintenance. They decided to deplane us then the GA starts to issue vouchers for food and hotel. What I didn't get was why they needed to wait until they cleared the line to issue all the hotel voucher. Well that's not what happened. After clearing 2/3 the line they decided to rule that it was due to weather. I initially wanted them to give me a print out of the reason for credit card coverage. They refer me to the email for the delay. They refuse to allow us to take photo of what's on the computer screen. I called 800 twice, front line rep claims they have no power to email anything. When I asked a supervisor he referred me to

https://frontiercswprod.powerappsportals.com/contact-us/document-submission-form/

Despite the fact this is a form to send them documentation than seek documentation. It's past 12am majority of the hoteOn Flight 3393 from SLC to SFO, the initial delay was attributed to an incoming aircraft. After boarding and leaving the gate, the pilot announced we needed to return due to an engine issue requiring maintenance. We waited a bit then deplaned, and the gate agents waited to get info from the pilot and began " issuing hotel and meal vouchers."

While gate agents initially started " issuing hotel vouchers," . They said they would work on sending e-versions after clearing the line.
After approximately two-thirds of passengers had been assisted, the reason for the delay was suddenly changed to “weather.” At that point, hotel and meal vouchers were now rescinded.

While they worked on my voucher, I requested written documentation of the delay reason for credit card travel insurance purposes. I was directed to check email notifications instead, and agents declined to provide any printed confirmation or allow photos of the system screen. I also called the customer service line twice; both frontline representatives stated they were unable to send any documentation. A supervisor directed me to an online submission form (https://frontiercswprod.powerappspor...bmission-form/), which is intended for submitting documents—not requesting them.

I Ultimately, I did not receive a hotel voucher and was only provided two $15 meal vouchers in the form of reimbursement requiring me to input my own CC.

I also spent additional time contacting my credit card provider (Chase) to confirm coverage, which depends on obtaining official documentation from the airline stating the delay was weather-related.

I doubt DOT will do anything to hold them accountable for their lies and the GA were powerless to help and told all to complain to corporate.
