Has anyone credited a JAL Business Class booking class I (or any other class) to Finnair Plus since the 1 May 2026 earning changes?

The JAL earning table shows

Business Class I = 250% avios multiplier

Finnair Plus Platinum = 100% tier point multiplier

What I'm struggling to understand is whether this means Business, First and Economy all effectively earn the same number of tier points per mile (i.e, just 100% if platinum)? with only the Avios differing.

The reason I'm questioning it is because (1) that sounds rather odd and punitive and (2) JAL's reciprocal update for JMB members refers to a FLY ON Mile-Up bonus on Finnair flights, which suggests status multipliers are applied on top of base earning rather than replacing it.

Has anyone got a real post-May-2026 example?

Flying ORD-HEL in August and I'm a bit confused about lounge access in T5. I'm sure this has been answered before but I couldn't find it in the search. Apologies if it's redundant.

I'm OW Emerald. Wife is OW Ruby/basically worthless. Flying paid J for me and award J for her.

Google says Swissport lounge, which frankly looks awful. One World site says LOT lounge. However, i watched a video that's essentially than a week old showing the sign listing who's admitted and Finnair wasn't on it.

Trying to figure out if we should hang out at the Flagship Lounge in T3 where we arrive, a T5 lounge or head out to Superdawg or some pizza. Schedule change left us with a very long layover.

Appreciate the assistance.

Danske has launched Finnair Plus benefits for premium & private banking clients, more info:

Short AI summary:
Short memo (English) — Danske Bank x Finnair Plus benefit bundle for Premium & Private Banking
Danske Bank Finland has introduced an exclusive Finnair partnership benefit for Danske Premium and Private Banking customers, positioned as a premium, travel-centric enhancement available only to Danske Bank customers. The core construct is a choice-based “benefit swap”: eligible customers can replace the card’s existing “payment method benefit” (included with Mastercard Platinum or Mastercard World Elite combo cards) with either Finnair Plus tier status or Avios (Finnair Plus loyalty currency).

For Danske Premium (Mastercard Platinum), the swap options are Finnair Plus Silver or 4,000 Avios. For existing Private Banking customers (Mastercard Platinum or World Elite), the menu mirrors Premium: Silver or 4,000 Avios. The main differentiation is reserved for new Private Banking customers, who can swap into an uplift to the next Finnair Plus tier (Silver/Gold/Platinum) or a scaled Avios amount (4,000 / 70,000 / 120,000 Avios, aligned with the tier outcome). This design signals an acquisition-oriented incentive for new Private Banking relationships, while keeping an ongoing, simpler option set for existing customers.

Operationally, the benefit is valid for 12 months from activation, and its continuation is reviewed annually by Danske Bank and Finnair, with customers to be notified of any changes to validity. The value proposition is explicitly framed around enabling “premium travel benefits” that would typically require substantial flight activity, thereby offering a “status-or-currency” pathway via banking relationship rather than flying frequency.

Added: think it's just the app as the website works, although prices are up to 3x the price as the same flights on the app.
Well, the app sort of works but that's now showing say 9000SEK for a flight rather than 3400SEK before (and that's business light)

Hi folks,

Considering a last minute booking from DUB to HKG tomorrow. DUB-HEL departs tomorrow (Thursday) at 18:00 and AY99 from HEL-HKG leaves at 00:35 on 15May. Is anyone able to check the load in economy to see if there are likely to be plenty aisle seats? I started a dummy booking but it was difficult to work out as there were many seats that were greyed out (some just a blank grey and some grey with a person symbol) I thought seat selection was free for economy classic but apparently not.

Do Finnair cabin crew police people moving seats (within the same cabin) if there are plenty available in the cabin or are they relaxed about it?

Thanks.
